It depends on it there is ice cream involved. Throw in some cake and it could be a summit.

And bulleted! Don’t forget the importance of bullets.

Listening to everyone slurring their words and mumbling, one would almost think that we have too many ancient white men in the Senate.

Leahy…love the guy. He knows what being under oath means. Barr on releasing the Mueller report: I believe in doing what’s consistent with the rules and the law.
Slippery devil. He won’t answer a direct question about doing this, which says a lot.

Barr is very big-headed, and I mean an arrogant POS. That’s my overall opinion. He’s extremely overly confident with his own sense of authority even though he hasn’t gotten the job yet…but he knows he’s all but confirmed so there’s that I suppose.

@imkmu3 Sycophants are like that.

Did I understand correctly that Barr will not necessarily recuse himself from the Mueller investigation himself even if the ethics review department concludes he should?

Spare me from lawyers and their “thought pieces.”

Chronic violent offenders more likely = men of color

On another note, has anyone asked Barr if he believes a president can pardon himself?

I want to hear that answer now.

It’s a “thought piece,” it doesn’t really mean anything. You know, what I said I thought, doesn’t really mean what I think.

Pass the vodka please. No glass, the bottle will do fine thanks.

Lindsay Graham is getting more and more like an evil guy from an old Bette Davis movie based in the south. The way is asks questions with his eyes kinda’ half open and a weirdly flat delivery…ick. Watch out Bette

That’s what Barr said - said he’d consult with the ethics professionals but that the final decision as to whether to follow their findings or not was his and his alone.

Which I hear as a NO.

? Don’t know. I might’ve missed it. I don’t trust the guy. He deflects by saying he doesn’t know shit without being shown a statute on whatever it seems he doesn’t want to commit to. That’s a weaselly way of avoiding answering. Shouldn’t he know most of the applicable statutes if he’s to become the top legal authority as AG? He should be made to look the statutes up and get back to the Senators with an firm answer then.

He should be forced to submit that in writing then. But as usual they’re really trying to bum-rush this guy through with not much followup as they have with every other one of tRump’s appointees.

“I’m at a point in life where I can do what I want without caring about the consequences”

Well that makes we feel great.

Wow, can’t believe I missed that. That’s fucking huge. This guy’s arrogance alone could bring down democracy as we know it…and for what? In service to a fucking madman. We are so screwed.

Yeah, he lost me when he said that he doesn’t understand the emoluments clause, hasn’t read it, can’t speak to it.

Hasn’t read the emoluments clause? So he’s never read the Constitution from start to finish? Yeah, right. :unamused:

That’s what he said. I would vote no.

And…let’s face it…since donnie was installed…anyone in D.C. has become EXTREMELY aware of the emoluments clause.

Me too. But we don’t get a vote. Bummer.

Well if you’re going to drink it straight, a nice bourbon or scotch would go better than vodka. Who cares what time it is.

So…the repubs are using this hearing to pillory Comey…again.
