Not sure I wanna ruin my dayâŚLooking at freezing rain outside, that I may have to drive in looks better than watching this shit. Weâll seeâŚ
I need coffee however so my rage, which I know will kick in, is at the ready and in large supply when this guy begins to deflect and avoid direct questions from the Democrats on the panel.
Btw, do they need a simple majority or 2/3rds to approve him? If its a simple majority than its already a fate accompli and this guy knows it. He doesnât have to answer anything honestlyâŚwhich is probably why he wonât.
Jebus first guy I see when I click on it is Lindsay fucking Graham, what a dick head pompous ass.
Watching Graham now. âImmigration Lindsayâ??? As opposed to âthe one nobody likesâ? He promisess to be âmeasuredâ â sounds as though he has taken all the bad press heâs received recently for being Tiny Toadstoolâs Toady to heart.
WTF is that sanctimonious slimeball Orrin Hatch doing there??
Oh, of courseâŚlike this Barr guy needs a âformal introductionâ to the committee. What is this, the bleeping Oscars??
p.s. to sr-gr - nominee only needs a simple majority for confirmation: âfix is inâ, but Dâs need to make this as challenging as possible to lay the groundwork for future litigation, if required.
Imho, Grahamâs persona this AM is only a temporary condition.
First guy I see is Orrrrrrrrin Hatch, asshole extraordinaire. Isnât he retired? This can only go downhill from here imo.
Well, at least they found an age-appropriate pic of the guy this time. Looks like heâs non-plussed about having to do this sitting behind Hatch. He knows the fix is in. What a sick process we have, made all the more useless by Republicans that have no desire in their ethical responsibility to make this guy answer anything that will jeopardize his confirmation. They will essentially âkavanaughâ him into this job. I have no doubt about that.
First lie of the day by this guyâŚâI did not pursue this positionâ. Bullshit. He wrote an essay and sent it to tRump and all his lawyers soliciting for the fucking job. Mind you, heâs under oathâŚor should I say oaf.
Promises, promises. Btw, his memo what a long fucking screed about executive power.
done, itâs the linny graham show and there is no way I can watch it any further.
I just hope the democrats poke really big holes through this guy so he is exposed for all he is worth.
.
My only hope (more like a fantasy) is that Mueller sent this guy to appease and appeal to tRump sense of vanity and self-aggrandizement, to attract him to nominating him with that ridiculous essay so that he could get this heady DoJ job as AG, and actually protect the investigation in an act of counterintelligence jujitsu. The chance of that however are probably nil.
Graham is now going into the politics of the investigation as it relates to one of the GOPâs boogeymen, Strok. Whatâs that about? Why is he politicizing the investigation and asking for conclusions from this guy? Graham is apparently speaking directly to tRump through these questions. Its interesting that Barr is willing to answer the questions even though he just said he would be impartial and let the investigation proceed without interference.
When Dems ask their questions related to the investigation will he deflect and say he canât go there, or just let Rs get into aspects of the investigation?
Just wanted to come here and sayâŚFUCK YOU Lindsay Graham.
What a prissy ass.
Graham: âDonât you know tRump is a one-pager kinda guyâ
Barr: âyes, I guess so.â
Graham: âOK, just remember thatâ
The dumbing down of the American Presidency, aided and abetted by one of the most feckless Senators in the country today.
He says Trumped asked him for: No assurances, promises or commitments
BUT, he doesnât include an oath of loyalty. Lawyers are slippery, I would want the exact wording.
EXACTLYâŚWTH. That seems like a slam against donnieâŚ
And did you notice the weird look at Lindsayâs face when he said that?
The guy is big on his espousing his supposed general philosophy which is basically a lot of bullshit buzz words with a whole lot of wiggle room. Heâs a professional semantic manipulatorâŚIn other words, lawyerly bullshit.
Heâs giving his Memo an out because he didnât know the facts.
SO WHY WRITE THE Fing Memo?
Donât bother to answerâŚI know.
Graham truly embarrassed himself with his questions - he came off as even more partisan, less intelligent, more juvenile and more out-to-lunch than I expected.
