Discussion for article #238630
Two very smart and intelligent guys.
The two people who have kept the world rational for the last seven years.
I know Jon has been around longer, but I honestly didn’t start watching him and acknowledging his impact on the political realm until Obama’s election.
Yes, I know - I don’t get out much.
This President’s centered demeanor – His quiet integrity and respect are somethings that the White House has not seen in a very long time –
The difference between the president’s demeanor in this interview and the Trump’s demeanor during his campaign are incredible.
We are fortunate that Mr. Obama was elected to the Presidency in 2008 and 2012.
TPM, if you cannot get a version of the video that doesn’t auto-play, perhaps you should just post a still and a link to the video. It is distracting for the video to start playing while I am reading the article and haven’t even scrolled down to it yet; and it costs me money if I am reading the article via the cellular network and don’t plan to view the video in the current session because it will take a huge chunk of my monthly data allotment.
Trump could just play honorary President like the two losers before him are. McCain has imagined himself as leading for the last 7 years and Romnerd definitely hasn’t gotten the memo that he is irrelevant.
Trump is worth several billion laughs, that I believe and no one will take him seriously like English challenged Bush, so let Trump talk, let us laugh and let the Democratic streak of Presidents continue.
I worry we won’t have another thoughtful, levelheaded, aware President like O for some time to come, after he’s gone.
Gundamentalists and Ammosexuals are so ANGRY ANGRY ANGRY at Stewart for mocking their bullshit belief that the president is gonna TAKE ARE GUNZ.
Mr. Obama, the president we don’t deserve, about Jon Stewart:
“You’ve been a great gift to the country.”
Hear, hear!
I hope that in a few years time we will have this thoughtful, levelheaded man on the Supreme Court.
The fact is that he’s actually saying something. Making a real point and furthering the conversation versus definitively spouting off your talking points in sound bites; That’s the difference between a leader and a hack. The man is thinking. He’s not just thinking about which sound-bite talking point is the best one to segue in any situation.
That being said, nice segue into ‘call your rep and tell them what you think about war with Iraq’ territory.
I have come around to the belief that Obama has been one of our best Presidents. And just think what would have happened if he hadn’t had one of the worst congresses in history.
From your fingers to Hillary’s private server.
