Discussion for article #240568
Stewart successfully shamed Congress before and now he’ll successfully shame them again. Good on Jon.
Women auto-corrected to mown. What’s the frequency, Kenneth?
He is a good man.
YES. More please.
The Senate MAY be shamed into doing something, but the House has no shame and will kill it in conference because only “NY Liberals” are for it.
Plus, also… Murka!
And hopefully, this isn’t the last of Jon taking a public stand for something, like he did here.
I know he supported this cause while still on TDS. But this is a whole 'nother level.
and we ALL know what “NY Liberals” is code word for…and Mr. Stewart is a member of that tribe.
Repigs think that the churches should take care of them. Seriously.
JS…continuing his quest -----
A man to be honored.
I believe there was a west wing episode which made the same point.
Also, I saw a car with a vanity plate the other day, that was the same as your screen name…
Jonny Quest…
Saw several people on here trashing him for doing the wrestling promo a few weeks ago, mocking the fact that he was now relegated to being a clown, etc. Ummm, every one of his actions does not need to be for political cause. The guy can have some fun if he wants.
And he can do this stuff too. Frankly, I think he was just tired of doing the Daily Show. It was great TV, but he needed to move on. But that does not mean he was not going to stand for just causes in the future. He’ll actually have more time to do it now, and still spend some time with his family, which I am sure was part of his reason for leaving too. You knew he was leaving when Colbert split.
Great job for a great cause. As usual.
