The first of many, across the country. And a great way to start bringing the curtain down on this clown show.
This may dissuade Democrat and Progressive/Left leaning women from voting for Trump (or Boozman), were they inexplicably so inclined. It won’t work to deter GOP women however, they hate women more than Trump ever could.
That’s okay, the hardcore RW women are a pretty small fraction of the voters and will always vote Repub.
Women love Trump. Of course, he doesn’t own the Marina anymore. So maybe these women are not big fans anymore. Don’t know.
This is one of, let me be clear, the first of, many, many efforts to tie Republican candidates, some of who are great let me tell you, and some of who are, well, sad, to my coattails, the finest, and I mean the finest, coattails in the history of Presidential elections. You can take my word, believe me, just watch the effect it will have on their numbers. Huge effect, I promise you. Huge.
If women played big league baseball Trump would be a slump-buster.
Oh, this is good. Every Democratic candidate for every office should broadcast foolish Trump quotes. (Just throw a dart; you’ll get one.) Then end with the tag line “I’m in the other party.”
I wonder, especially in red states, if you could have a situation where Republican women tell pollsters they’re voting for Trump and, in this case, Boozman - but once inside the voting booth - vote Hillary and the Dem Senate candidate.
I just can’t imagine most women would accept this type of misogyny.
Ads like these will do the work for Hillary but will voters blame GOP senators? I suspect/fear voters will not hold them accountable for Trump and say it is unfair to the senators because of who their party nominated. Hope I am wrong.
With respect, I disagree: I think there is a sizable percentage of GOP-affiliated women who are basically held hostage by their gender, class, or demographic, but who’ll vote anti-Trump when the booth curtain closes.
If all the ad does is nauseate GOP women and their allies (as it should), and keep those GOP voters home, then GOP loses the Senate. Bet on it.
From Gallup:
Donald Trump’s image among U.S. women tilts strongly negative, with 70% of women holding an unfavorable opinion and 23% a favorable opinion of the Republican front-runner in March.
And there’s that magic number again, ±3 points. It’s the same roughly one-quarter who think that we found WMD in Iraq, who think that Cheney is a visionary, who think that Obama is a Muslim, etc., etc.
We need a shorthand way to refer to them. The Irredeemably Dim? The Desparately Deluded? I’m open to suggestions.
But Jesus will know and see what they’re doing, which augurs counter to your theory.
I live in TX, so would add “…closes, and even if Jesus is watching.”
Ah, so cloaking what you do behind a sheet protects you from Jesus’ prying eyes? I guess that explains the Klan dress code.
Hate to say it but that runs to 35% here in Alaska.
Yes, I would guess that the number skews higher in red states.
But in fairness, blue state residents suffer from similar rates of delusion. It’s just that the subject matter changes. They think things like, “yoga will make you a better person.”
Wow. This type of ad has tremendous potential to turn off Republicans (men and women) , but also to ramp up Democratic turnout . I hope it also stimulates questions about the good faith of Senator Sanders in continuing to attack the Democratic candidate , while his supporters actually threaten to vote for this man.
? Not everybody tells the truth all the time. Not everybody is SAFE telling the truth all the time.
I care how people vote, more than what they say. Some GOP women will choose not to vote for Trump.
