really sucks, doesn’t it? everybody has their own personal abyss that they stare into from time to time, but robin williams had a talent that only comes along every other generation. he could have muddled along for 20 years and then come up with something new under the sun. it’s so sad that his demons overwhelmed him, but it is sad for the rest of us, too. he can’t be replaced.

He must have been very lonely at the end. Sad, truly sad.

I bet you’d love to have the Hays Code back, Beej.

Hint ferya: In your case, socks are for masturbation, not commenting.

So many of our finest actors seem to be troubled.

I would suggest you rethink your generalizations about “leftists”. In the recent news, I seem to recall a Florida ® congressman with cocaine problems, South Carolina and California governors ® with adultery issues, a Virginia governor ® with financial ethics issues, and several lawmakers and preachers ® exposed as gay.

The irony, that so many of those who live yearning to make us laugh are actually such tortured souls inside. It is hard to fathom how bleak things must have seemed, what depth of despair was felt, that one of the world’s kindest, funniest men felt that death was the best option.

You, sir/madam are an absolute IDIOT!

I’m sorry you’re so insecure and small-minded that you turn the loss of such a genuinely good, humane, and wonderful person into a sad little soap box.

I hope you can find some peace and joy from doing some good in the world, instead of the negative, caustic trollish behavior you wallow in.

No matter how solemn or upsetting the news, it is still necessary to stick in the obligatory advertisement.
