Discussion: WATCH: Bill O'Reilly Gets Into Shouting Match With Ex-KKK Wizard David Duke

Discussion for article #231662

All Bill-0 the Clown did was give national exposure to his fellow Republican. Duke says what every Fox Viewer believes.

So what show does he have that is not a shouting match? I thought that was the basic premise, invite people on and yell at each other, with Bill of course having the ability to hit the mute switch for the other persons’ mic.

“Mr. Duke, don’t sit here and tell me you’re not trying to promote the cause of white people, 'cause you are!” the Fox host said. “The problem with this garbage — on both sides — is that we’re all in it together and skin color doesn’t matter.”

I wonder how many viewers O’Reilly lost when he said that.

O’Reilly granted Duke’s point that the mainstream media “is sympathetic to the left.” He added that Duke would never “get a fair shake” from liberals because they “despise” him.

astonished that Duke did not jump in onto O’Reilly’s momentum and add his usual snarky bigoted comment about ‘the Jews’ that control all of the liberal media & everything … Bill O would have had some scrambling to do to uncouple his comment from Duke’s

All of them.

Which have been deeply confusing to the viewers!

DD shouldn’t have tried to flog his own books on Bill’s show. That is a no-no…

Comparing political affiliations (Mandela and Communism) with racism makes no sense. The first you have a right to. The second you don’t. It’s like comparing someones religion with racism. Just because you don’t like it does not make it racist.

I consider that a compliment rather than a criticism.

I read the story but refuse to start my day watching Bill O’Reilly and that racist ant-semite screaming at each other.

Excellent policy. You need to be aware of these people if you’re going to follow political stuff, but it’s like cleaning up after a sick dog: you have to do it, but you’re allowed to wear gloves. I personally have a no-listen policy regarding Sarah Palin. That voice! The aural equivalent of burning rubber, it’s horrible.

Actually, none of them. This is a fight between traditional racism and modern racism. The former drew its claim of moral authority from eugenics theory. The latter draws its claim to moral authority from the bare contention that they “aren’t racist.”

Kind of like the Koch-aligned neofeudal warlordists fight with the COC/MIC kleptocrats.

“The problem with this garbage — on both sides — is that we’re all in it together and skin color doesn’t matter.”

Is it just me, or is Bill-O comparing DD with the current protesters speaking out over Ferguson, Trayvon Martin, etc.??? Just another way to tamp down the controversy with a bland, cynical, “both sides do it” attitude. The second half of his statement papers over what he’s really saying, with a wink to his viewers.

The difference between Senator Byrd and David Duke is that Byrd was ashamed of his ties to the KKK.

That this backwoods Nazi likely receives a pension from the state of Louisiana?
Is all one needs to understand about the political cesspool from which Steve Scalise emerged
and has been complicit with his entire career.

RWNJs like Scalise and Duke are plain-vanilla liars.
They’re not very good at it.
And In LA? They don’t have to be.

It’s when they are spotlighted outside their comfortable environs–
that the at-large public notices-- and wonders how such racists can succeed in 21st century politics.

They do mirror their constituencies.

We’re all in this together. Some people are lighting the crosses and other are trying to put them out.

Now he can say that “fair and balanced” Fox pushes back against white supremacists.

The whole “fair shake” thing is a setup for right wing victimhood at the hands of liberals.

None, 'cos they all say the same thing.
