Bill OâReilly Explodes During Debate Over Race With Contributor
Damn! The writer meant that figuratively.
âReally? So how many black friends do you have?â Powers asked. âHow many black friends do you have?â
Well, murderer Dylann Storm Roof had several black friends on his Facebook account, yet that didnât stop him from cold blood murdering 9 black people. I guess going forward, according to Powers, if one doesnât have at least one black friend then he/she is automatically a racist.
America is today far removed from itâs racist past, no doubts about that, but expecting to have a completely racists free society is like believing in flying unicorns and fairy dust. Just because a few among us are racists bigots it doesnât make the whole American people racist as well. There are thousand of neo-nazi out there, that doesnât mean Americans are nazi as well.
Idiots HATE IT when their stupidity is revealed to them.
BillâO knows he is losing the argument, so he resorts to âpounding on the tableâ and shouting down his own guests.
This is the Conservative mind: If you are losing, BECOME VIOLENT and beat your opponent into submission. The ONLY thing that matters is WINNING. Being âcorrectâ is for losers, women, âelitesâ, âeggheadsâ, and minorities.
WINNERS are NEVER WRONG.
USA! USA! USA!
âReally? So how many black friends do you have?â Powers asked. âHow many black friends do you have?â
To be fair to OâReilly, itâs hard to imagine him having friends of any color.
Every single time I have ever seen Mr. OâReilly continually yellânearly scream in this caseâover his guests is when he knows heâs on the wrong side of an issue. This issue as it pertains to America is so multi-layered and has such a long history that there are many angles on which to debate both sides. Iâm a left/progressive person and I can honestly say that in my nearly fifty years on this planet Iâve met only a handful of left fringe people like that described by the other guest, Monica Crowley. Have I met folks who are very passionate in their beliefs? â Yes, but I swear their goals have never been to âtear America down from the inside.â Fuck, I donât believe 99.9% of those to the right of me want that! To say that is to admit you either have lost the real debate or admit you have nothing of substance to add to the debate.
As a white person who doesnât have many close black friends in my life, I do not grade anyone by that sort of standard and declare them racist, etc. If Mr. OâReilly had actually allowed Ms. Powers to finish her thoughts from the beginning instead of loudly interrupting her every few secondsâwhich is the lowest of debate tactics, but he uses that one a lotâhe would have discovered she was not implying he is a racist but perhaps pointing out a much more nuanced observation.
OâReilly is the worst place to ever make your argument. I sincerely do not know why ANYONE of any integrity ever goes on his show, much less FOX Entertainment. Yes, I mean you, too, Jon Stewart. Bill OâReilly is not a good soul â and you know it.
OâReilly always explodes so Fox viewers can vicariously explode. Fox has high ratings because there is a huge market of viewers who âoutsourceâ their anger and rage to the so-called Fox pundits. Result: Fox rings the cash register.
Bill and Monica sound worried.
I came looking for body parts (walks away disappointed).
There are other countries who are less racist than the US. I donât believe in American exceptionalism, but I want our country to be the best.
donât ever forget that everything on fox is as unscripted as florida dinner theatre or WWE.
Well, Billo needs a better finishing move. Maybe a figure four leg lock or something.
I agree with you and I want that too, but after having extensively traveled many places of this world, I have yet to find a Country without a racist component in itâs population. I donât know how you can measure other Countries as being less racist than America
OâReilly is dealing with closeted frustration right now-- Heâs worried his supply of Confederate themed boxer shorts may be at risk â
The problem is that people like you and OâReilly define âracismâ as âa thing Iâm not, even when at every turn I indicate my unstated assumption that âAmericanâ is synonymous with âwhiteness.ââ
When a hundred job or loan applications with African-American names get the same acceptance rates as a hundred job or loan applications with identical data but Anglo-Saxon names, we can say weâre not racist anymore. We wonât be past the economic aftershocks of the century of systemic racism that transferred black wealth to white hands for a century after the end of the Civil War, but we can say attitudes have truly changed.
Well, also when white cops stop adding ten years of age and a gun to their assumptions about every black face they encounter on the job.
Isnât an âanti-America haterâ someone who hates anti-Americans? Quite a wordsmith, that Bill.
And of course, itâs endemic racism (among other things) that in fact âtears America down [and apart] from the insideâ. Letâs just say that Mr OâReilly is not an agent of our healing.
First, the possessive word its cannot ever have an apostrophe.
Second, your statement is disproved by current events.
Third, no one expects to have a racist-free society, so your logical fallacyâyou picked a straw man argument this time----shows that you have, as usual, no valid argument to make.
Fourth, your âguessâ about having black friends is risible on its face, and you prove once again that you have no credibility, and deserve none.
Iâm willing to bet you also donât know how to tie your own shoes.
Bill just hates people talking against his views .
