Discussion: WATCH: AZ Candidate Can't Explain Why She Voted For 'Birther' Bill

Discussion for article #229353

If you believed the current law was sufficient, why did you vote for the bill? Good on the host for pressing her, and not letting her do the typical answer/non-answer these guys like to give.

Grandstanding maneuver blew-up and spewed shards of you-kow-what all over the promoters … now she does not want to discuss it.

Reagan threw her up hands and repeated: “The state law is sufficient, and we don’t need to revisit --”

She gestured as she spoke, but no throwing of hands here.

And, she’s a GOPer named Reagan–of course she has no accountability for her actions.

Just look at her. What a vile person she is. She refuses to confront her past actions as if entitled to do so. As they say…what folks will do to get elected is what they will do once elected. Yet the people in Az will put this disgusting thing in office. Have fun with this sleaze AZ…

Fucking moron. I’m guessing this is the tip of the iceberg of things she couldn’t explain if asked.

Meanwhile, she’s giving him the look that says “come on man, move on…don’t highlight that I’ma racist that freaked out over the election of a n----r as POTUS. Help me get elected Sec of State so I can be in charge of the state’s voting procedures and ballot counting so I can just put the plans in action with or without idiotic race-baiting legislation.”

Oh come on. It’s really simple. Just say these four words:

I AM A BIGOT!

There, that was easy.

Bravo Resnik! - Too bad we don’t have more reporters like him on the national scene.

Looks like she was following the typical garden-variety political consultant advice of “just stick to the talking points.” Which, most of the time works pretty well, because so few of our journalists press on beyond their original question and (maybe) one follow-up. But as this clip shows, when the the questioner presses further, the talking-point-repeater can quickly start to look like a fool.

And this is the dweeb who has Jan Brewer’s endorsement…

I would bet that when she is talking to an NSGOTP klavern she clearly states that Obama is a muslin who was born in a fern country and that the dem-o-crats are engaging in a vast conspiracy.

Isn’t the first step in moving on admitting that you have a problem?

The really stupid part: if the law had been in effect in 2008 Sen. Obama’s signed, sealed and verified “Certification of Live Birth” would have been accepted without question.

Once again a “facepalm” moment for my state.

Arizona, a void in common sense as the state is in useless space and dirt. If you vote for this hack you deserve whats coming.

One other thing: here in Arizona the Secretary of State’s job is to certify elections. A pretty easy gig. But the S of S is the equivalent of vice-Governor. Should the replacement of Brewer get removed from office the S of S becomes Governor. As was the case when Janet Napolitano was picked by Obama to head up Homeland Security. Brewer was S of S.

Thanks for the insult edward. Not all of us here are dolts. And the state is a whole lot more than desert and idiots.
I take exception to what you posted and will flag it.

Someone should just stamp “Trojan Horse” on her forehead. She clearly wants to be Sec of State so she can have direct control over the voting and elections procedures in the state and then fuck up the ballot counting royally so that “the wrong people” don’t have their votes counted.

It seems that a lot of politicians haven’t caught on yet, that in the world of youtube and google, saying one thing in person to your base, and then saying something different to a larger audience doesn’t work anymore.

Similarly, you can’t vote one way to appease your base, and then when you run for a higher office not expect someone to dig through you voting record and call you on it.

Before the Internet, it was much more difficult for someone to keep track of a politicians voting record.

today, I have far more access to this kind of information than Journalists did even 15 years ago.

For Journalists, it must be like Geico. You can uncover 15% more lies in 15 minutes.

Proving once again, another c(R-AZ)y candidate from Arizona!
