I wonder if she was actually directing that question at the boys, who she probably has some crazy fantasies about…
Here is the lesson for the boys and girls:
- Vote the bit*h out of office.
I could smack this woman across the face and call it “well-intended” but that wouldn’t make it so. What an idiot. And the usual apology/non-apology is idiotic too.
My first thought would be to ask in return: “When did you lose YOUR virginity” ?
Bristol Palin: I think this is a very fair and important question. If I knew the stigma attached with it, I would be one now. This should be tracked in a govt database.
“And was it with the football team or the basketball team?”
I am guessing sexual frustration.
Please. I live not far from Idaho in Washington myself (and my representatives are twice as crazy, to be honest. Matt Shea. He is quite possibly the worst legislature in Washington state.). I know many people, many devout Christians, and none of them are this crazy. Why do the craziest end up as our representatives?!?! Answer: no one bothers to put a stamp on their ballots in off year elections.
Again…why not just apologize. Don’t qualify your apology ( that’s a non-apology ) just say…that was wrong…I apologize.
Pomeroy grows some great pot. She should go on a fact finding mission and visit each of the farms and sample product. She needs to know what getting high and having sex is like if she wants to properly legislate on such things. I hope she visits planned parenthood and discusses safe sex first, too. My sister in law works for planned parenthood in town and says that syphilis is going around Spokane.
What do you expect when you go to visit the “Church Lady”?
Exactly. This is not an apology:
“If anything I said offended them or made them feel uncomfortable, I apologize.”
In fact, it is almost the exact opposite of an apology. It conveys that she hasn’t spent any time thinking about what she said and how it was the wrong way to speak to her constituents.
Because a real apology would suggest a modicum of self-appraisal and the taking on of personal responsibility on the part of this republican. See the dilemma?
That was a profoundly inappropriate line of questioning, especially if any of those she accosted were minors. She should write letters of apology to everyone involved including the parents of the teenagers, and issue a press release to that effect immediately. Unfortunately, with her being a cowardly Republican, that would be off-script and off the reservation…soooo, a double-down should be expected momentarily.
She’s very easy to reach by email (hint, hint, wink, wink), so when she’s under virtual siege she may retract some of the crazier bits of her non apology.
Because the worst of them are probably Dominionists who think they should be ruling the world because Jeebus chose their brand™ of Christianity. At a bare minimum they want control over how kids are educated and want to make sure only “those people” pay taxes.
Anne was only 6 years older than Dustin at the time so it was okay to seduce him.
Being a repug I’m surprised she didn’t ask them to spread 'em.
Great Republican outreach – slut-shaming a bunch of civic-minded children interested in meeting their representative and participating in the democratic process.
And people wonder why our youth are not motivated to vote.
