Discussion for article #234851
The ball is rolling merrily along.
This must be fun for a lot of pols (Malloy, Emmanuel, this guy): not only do you get to take a stand for something that’s popular with your constituents, but you get to stick it to a sanctimonious unctuous political snake oil pusher creep Koch puppet like Mike Pence.
There must be some
Rule Number 3
Section 5
Paragraph 8
On the Double Down.
In this case, Pence has lost some of the Money People on this. This includes their connections with the MSM, which partially explains George acting like a real reporter (skeptical facial expressions and all) with Pence and his amateurish protestations on Sunday.
[Hint to Mike: Calling a real reporter by his/her first name does not endear him/her to you, it makes the reporter zone in]
While I completely understand and agree with individuals and businesses deciding to boycott Indiana for its unjust law – I really don’t think it a wise strategy for the governments of other states and municipalities to make it official policy. Actions like Inslee’s and Emmanuel’s, while maybe well-intentioned, could backfire and give just the excuse for even more extreme right wing reactions – including the governments of red states banning together for mass boycott of liberal states. There are right wingers stockpiling guns who will see this as their dream come true – another civil war (ironically started over a wedding cake.)
