Okay, what about any town in Czechia in 2016?
Trumpers don’t have a great record vs Mueller.
Cohen’s really going to go with complete denial this time?
I guess, what’s the difference between 4 and 10 years in prison?
Does Prague have nice suburbs?
“Was Michael Cohen in Prague in 2016? Michael Cohen’s lawyer: “Never! Never!””
tmw Lanny Davis shows that he’s more Foggy Nelson than Matt Murdock.
That was my first thought as well.
Hmmm what does Cohen say?
It is entirely possible that the Steele dossier is wrong.
So his lawyer says “No Prague, no Prague, you are the Prague.” For all we know he means the meeting technically didn’t happen within the city limits. Or the dossier got a point wrong, or McLatchy got the story wrong, or Davis doesn’t know or is lying, or it could be anything, really. It could be they’re negotiating film rights, for Christ’s sake.
C’mon, Lanny. We all heard the tape.
TRUMP: “You got to pay cash.”
COHEN: “Nonononononono.”
TRUMP: “OK. Czech.”
It’s also possible there actually was no Prague meeting. Steele was not working to courtroom levels of certainty, and (IIRC) actually made a comment in the dossier to the effect of “some of this stuff I can’t verify”.
I wouldn’t lay money one way or the other on this one.
Lanny Davis is a bigger liar than Michael Cohen, but like Cohen he knows that, when the Prague story breaks, Michael is at risk of a faceful of Novichok.
Since Lanny is not a hero here but a paid atty, I am gonna go with the “When Mueller brings the evidence I’ll duck with the 'my client lied to me” approach here. Buys everybody some time.
?: Oh who will tell the people tRump is a Ruskie mobbed up tax cheat and all 'round crook?
A: All the crooks in Mueller’s indictments.
But it’s not bloody likely. Some of us saw Cohen’s story shot full of holes a year ago, when his “passport-stamp-photo-as-proof” defense fell apart.
Seems to me the real question should be, “Did he meet with the Russians?” and not waste too much time on where he met with them. Don’t give him an opportunity to prevaricate.

Right you are. The dossier was stuff Steele was told by people he considered knowledgeable. In his business they would consider it a basis for further investigation. It’s not like a house of cards where you take out one piece and it falls down, that was never how it worked. But one way to look at this is to figure evidence of the conspiracy is a kind of stock in trade that Davis wants to make deals for in the marketplace. He’s going to be coy about it.
With the obvious exception of the piss tape, which many people are saying is real as the nose on your face
Piss tape schmiss tape. Always sounded like a red herring to me.
How do we know Lanny didn’t say Prawg? Was it wrtten?
