Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) argued in a Tuesday night tweetstorm that the “sacrifices” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) says he has made during his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination pale in comparison to those made by American workers.
Absolutely boo hoo, he still has millions in the bank, his wife still works, he STILL draws a taxpayer paycheck even though he has done squat to earn that paycheck since day one in his term. Boo Funking Hoo.
Personal time is not possible? Calling bullshit. His Houston area pastor was on NPR yesterday saying the Ted Cruz and his daughter had attended his own daughter’s birthday party last weekend.
Poor Rafael, he can’t even whine like a baby in peace. Senator Warren should be ashamed of her responses to his heart felt pain caused by his self inflected behavior. After all isn’t that what America is all about? People who have more get to whine more and those who have less need to shut up and get to work.
Let’s all together give a big shout out to poor Rafael. Ready, 1, 2, 3, “OH, POOR TEDDY, YOU ARE SO ABUSED.”
No, this is actually why you want her to stay in the Senate. Why in the wold would you want to reduce her from a powerful figure with an actual voice to an occasional attack dog that attends international funerals??
Sen. Warren should give Sen. Cruz a break. After being born an anchor baby in the wrong country his family had to move to Texas. He has had to renounce his Canadian citizenship even though there is some question as to whether he ever had it and despite the fact that he is clearly ineligible to serve as POTUS he continues to spend donor dollars and persists in running as the Cubanadian alternative.
The interesting thing to me, is everyone of her blasts here is spot on in line with Hillary’s campaign. I maybe wrong, but I strongly suspect that Warren is going to start becoming much more vocal after last night, as both a surrogate for Hillary and as a moderating force on the Bernie campaign.
And this is how she will do it. Not by attacking Bernie directly, but by focusing the attacks where they should be, while eventually sprinkling in endorsements of Hillary’s positions.
Let’s be realistic. Warren’s views are a tad less corporate that Ms. Clinton’s. I doubt that she’d be offered a role. It might offend some very large donors.
On tax day she, with Sanders cosponsoring, submitted a bill to congress that would force the IRS to comply with its mandate to create a free tax filing system. Her bill goes after software providers like Intuit (Turbo Tax), and other groups, who have fought tooth and nail to prevent the IRS from doing what it was mandated to do.
