Warren came out swinging. Swing away! We enjoy.
This is what I like about Warren. She gets herself going and pretty soon she’s saying exactly what she thinks about things. And there’s no scolding quality to it—more like scalding, because she brings the heat.
I’ve always loved Warren’s clarity…and her ability to communicate that clarity.
Also, there’s a small part of me that thinks Warren may be running not so much because she thinks she can win (obviously there’s a part of her that does think so), but to get the chance to bring her priorities to the national conversation. I’m all for it. It’s a “Why not me? But if not me, then we’re all going to talk about the things I think matter” sort of attitude.

I see that as exactly her motivation. She and Harris just lay it out, and lay into Trump. I’m not impressed with the spirit of anyone else, yet.
The national conversation has finally caught up with Warren’s long-standing battle for economic justice. I think she wants to win. She’s always been my top candidate – even when she wasn’t running.
I’m thinking the 45 cult won’t be quite as enthusiastic about EW “telling it like it is.”
I’ve always thought her awesome, as well. She completely gets it. I’m just keeping my powder dry on all of the candidates until much later in the process. I honestly want to hear what they all have to say on everything before I let myself make a choice.
And that’s why the Pocahontas gig worked in the past.
Warren has a persona like a lot of people I have chaired with, taught with and studied under. She is not a natural grifter.(which the Pocahontas thing messed with her on)…but when she exercises her passion in her chosen field look out.
One more thing: The Academy (University teaching) has its share of bullshitters, politics and the like…but, in areas of one’s competence, the smart people keep out of the crosshairs of heavyweights (of any gender).

I guess I feel I’ve been listening to most of them a long time already. I like Booker. Not a fan of Harris as POTUS, although I do like her very much as a Senator. I also like what I’ve seen of Beto, but his lack of experience is too big a drag for me to support him in 2020. I’ve been watching Warren for years and years. She’s a fearsome warrior and a bright flame. My support for her is very unlikely to waver.
