Warren Torches DeVos: She’s ‘The Worst Secretary Of Education We’ve Seen’
CAN CONFIRM.
Warren should be getting a lot more traction than she’s been getting.
She has the best set of policies of any of the candidates.
I’m with Warren.
a former public school teacher to lead the Education department
An outstanding idea!
I’m excited about Senator Warren. Imagine if we can get her elected President with a majority Democratic House and Senate? We’d finally see some real positive change coming. And after that, we can start working on the Courts, especially SCOTUS.
However, the Education secretary insists “it’s not” all about her and that she’d really rather not have us media folk use her name as “clickbait,” thank you!
You have to give DeVos credit for saying there are good people on both sides of campus rape.
DeVos and her brother Erik Prince: Living proof that marriages between billionaires result in abominations against nature. When, oh, when will the American Eugenics Society ban billionaires from breeding in this fashion?
I would be hands down for Warren as POTUS if I didn’t like her so much as a Senator. With her clear devotion to progress, justice, empirical research, and reality-based decision-making I would frankly vote for her for just about anything if truth be known.
Not the first time it’s been said; not the last time it will be said.
But Bets and her family are making a bunch of money off this so I guess that’s alright with the grifter family.
“I’ll just be blunt: Betsy DeVos is the worst Secretary of Education we’ve seen,” Warren wrote.
Just wait 'til you see the next one, Liz.
I don’t know. Seems to me the point could be made in a much better way. How about how DeVos lives in a bubble and can’t possibly relate to regular people’s concerns, as shown by her allegiance to Charter Schools, etc
Warren Torches DeVos:
So, what? - no illustrations?!
She’s not wrong. In fact, she’s probably right.
Warren should be the frontrunner. She is the most substantial, serious candidate of the pack, with answers for every policy question, with actual thought behind them, and with a long history of being on the side of the middle class. I wonder if she can stick around long enough for the various media darling Ds to knock each other off while she flies somewhat under the radar talking substance. I think focusing on finance she could easily filet Biden in the debates.
Someone can correct me if I’m wrong but I believe Sen Warren started her professional life as a public school teacher.
Elizabeth Warren, uncharacteristically for her, is guilty of gross understatement.
It’s time for a woman President. However, Dems should not forget a woman candidate is swimming upstream. It’s probable a majority of the electorate have “misogyny” as a personal character trait.
“It is a truism of American politics that no man who can win an election deserves to.” - Trevanian
Or maybe:
"It is a truism of American politics that no man deserves to win an election.”
At least in 2020, please.
Warren’s getting more traction recently. I personally think she has a lot of potential. She’s not with a “socialist” label that may turn off some people; she’s doing quite well among black women because of her housing and childcare policies; she’s consistent in her positions; as a former republican, she may connect to moderates (remains to be proved) or even Nevertrumpers(Jennifer Rubin has some nice things to say about Warren despite their very different views).
