Discussion: Warren Said She Went To Trump's Inauguration To 'Burn It In' Her Eyes (VIDEO)

Have I mentioned this week that I love you, Pluckster? :slight_smile:

@littlegirlblue We see eye to eye on most everything but I have a feeling the “Clouds and shadows” BS Oppo might be a problem for Newsom. A track record of a few years as governor might fix it–if he does even close to as good a job as Jerry Brown, which might not be that easy.

I’m troubled by Warren’s decision to attend Emperor Orange’s coronation.

I don’t what the clouds and shadows refers to, never heard of it, but what the right will pin on him is his tenure as mayor of San Francisco when he wholeheartedly and vocally came out for LGBT rights, even performed marriage ceremonies for same sex couples, and they’d also hang the looney, latte loving, liberal City stuff on him.

Sly dog you.

Clouds and shadows is how , they tell me, Andrea Mitchell, Cokie Roberts et al responded to the egregious transgressions that rendered Hillary Just As Bad as so-called President who-knew.

Like gossipy mongers? Who exist in clouds and shadows?

On Warren’s book tour courtesy of a fellow TPMer. She’s collected $2.3 million in book sales, but was “troubled” by President Obama’s paycheck of $400 K for a speech…

Any idea how much she got paid for her last book? I’m not sure what she got in total, but in her 2013 financial disclosures, she indicated that Holt paid her an advance of $525,000. In 2014, $625,000. In 2015, $1,150,000. I don’t think shes filed for 2016 yet. So, in three years a big publishing house paid a sitting U.S. Senator in excess of $2.3 million for delivering what amounts to extensions of some of her floor speeches and campaign literature. I don’t begrudge her for wanting to earn some coin, but she probably shouldn’t be throwing stones from that glass house she’s in. . .

I like him too a whole lot. He really seems to be smart and on the exact right trajectory.

I didn’t personally watch or listen to the crap, but it was always “a cloud” or “a shadow” over the “deeply flawed” candidacy.

I couldn’t agree more. There is this idea among the populist Tea Party wing of the Democrats that with the right economic message we can get Trump voters to vote for us.

ROFLMAO

Yeah right - first you have to get them to quit hating liberals. That’s their motivation, not money.

I wonder where wife #1 will fit into all of that …

I’m troubled by a former Republican climbing on a high horse to lecture lifelong Dems on progressive purity.

I don’t watch or listen to either of these harpies, but they have to fill all that air time with something, so they settled on a woman pol, and a singular one I might add.

@j.dave A distant bad memory.

@pluckyinky

Are people other than Californians giving any thought to Adam Schiff running against Feinstein in 2018 for her senate seat? I wouldn’t want to see a struggle if she decides to run, which IMHO looks iffier every day, husband with lung cancer, Feinstein fatigue, etc… But Adam (with wife Eve haha) would work nicely for me.

Regardless, if it’s a Progressive or Moderate Democrat, I just hope we (as in Democrats and Independents), don’t make the same mistake in 2020 as we did this time.

In the meantime, I hope we survive that long.

Adam certainly works for me but of course I’m not in California.

I’ll take anyone against Feinstein.

Love you too!

He had some very public personal stumbles as (or immediately after being) mayor, so I agree that the oppo could by challenging. He will need some time as governor before he’s ready for a national stage.
