Discussion: Warren: It's Not Just Trump! The GOP Invented Bogus Rigged Election Claims

criticizing what she described as a “long-running effort by Republicans to delegitimize Democratic voters, appointees and leaders”

I think this is an issue where you are more effective by emphasizing the damage to America, rather than the damage to Democrats.

It speaks volumes about the idiocy of state and national GOP operations they’d let Curt Schilling anywhere near a nomination process. I hope he’s her opponent. What he’ll suffer will make Trump’s ass-kicking look like a stroll in the park.

Strategic thinking is not Kurt’s strong suit.

it isn’t Republicans being deligitimized… the damage is being done to America by victimizing Dems and potential Dems. simple logic that only a hard partisan would miss…

it is a sure bet that Schilling will ignorantly repeat the “Pocahontas” name-calling, as if he thinks a. it is effective and b. it is something new. Schilling is not the sharpest tack in the box and will only do what he is told to do/say. He should have his ass handed to him by Warren.

Senator Warren is right. There are a lot of Republican politicians who have tied their careers to voter suppression including Scott Walker and Kris Kobach to name just two.

someone should add, there is a good reason THEY did this “sky is falling” voter fraud routine, as a diversion for their schemes to commit both voter suppression and vote-count fraud…

Thank God for Liz—one of the very few prominent Democrats beside Obama and Clinton who openly takes a tough, tell-it-like-it is stand on anything.

Republican: “Oh! Come and see the violence inherent in the system! Help, help, I’m being repressed!”

Sen. Warren: “Bloody GOP.”

Republican: “Ooh, what a giveaway! Did you hear that? Did you hear that, eh? That’s what I’m on about! Did you see her repressing me? You saw her, didn’t you?”

It’s a rare entertainer, celebrity, or athlete who can do anything besides step on their own dick when running for office. Al Franken is one of the very few contemporary examples.

Former Major League pitcher and current Right Wing lunatic Curt Schilling announced this week that he plans to run against Warren for the Senate in 2018.

Warren is the most effective and charismatic Senator we’ve seen in decades and she represents a breath of fresh air for a lot of us. She’s also one of the few people in Washington who seems to actually care about average citizens. Furthermore, AFAIK, Massachusetts is pretty happy with her in that role.

So of course, Schilling the Nutcase says it’s imperative that she be removed from office. I wish Curt good luck with that battle.

I’m imagining Warren chairing a series of hearings starring Obama and the anti-gerrymandering project.

Warren condemned the tactic as one of “manufactured hysteria” used to “disproportionately suppress turnout by Democratic voters — especially blacks and Latinos.”

Also the youth vote and the elderly.

Maybe he can get Rhode Island to help fund him?

I always admired Alan Page, elected for four consecutive terms to the Minnesota Supreme Court. By all accounts he acquitted himself ably and nobly during his career as a jurist.

Well, Kentucky elected Jim Bunning to the Senate. Maybe that’s where Schilling got the idea. Of course, Bunning once pitched a perfect game, which Schilling can’t match. Besides, he is likely to find out that Massachusetts is not Kentucky.

It’s not so much that they want him but that they have no will to stop him. Trump showed the RNC/institutional GOP for the pushover it is and every two-bit huckster who would’ve settled for a direct-mail scam will now aim higher.
