Discussion: WaPo: Undocumented Workers Are Building Trump's Fancy New D.C. Hotel

Donald Trump, in a carefully worded Twitter post, challenged the veracity of the papers claim saying -

“The Post is LAME! What a bunch of lightweights. Dummies! Stupid losers… um jerks…”

I’m shocked, shocked I tell you! Have they raped Donald yet, don’t let them go till they finish that job…oh and get the building built too.

Aren’t there legal consequences for doing this? Isn’t he or his supervisor in charge of the job supposed to verify workers documentation? Can we arrest Trump for breaking the law?

Trump asked a reporter who criticized his immigrants rant and was asked to explain where the rapists are coming from if they are not Mexicans?

I have the answer. They are coming from our college fraternities. Apparently we have lots and lots of American rapists here already and they are white just like Trump.

Probably. I know he has toilet paper folders, why not food tasters.

Of course he does. This is clown…I mean trump.

Our boss is absolutely opposed to the use of undocumented immigrant labor. We just can’t be bothered to check ourselves, so we leave that up to the media.

I’m not a lawyer, but I think the statement by Trump’s shyster is probably legally correct; i.e., the legal responsibility lies with the sub-contractor. Politically, however, this is on Trump, and much of his base will probably abandon him. I believe this will effectively end his rise in the polls and start his decline. He probably will still have enough standing to be inn the first-tier debate, at which event one of his rivals will raise this.

Yes, economic freedom for the hypocrites who decry illegal immigrants, and the rise of China, but who have resorted to immigrant labor and who offshore jobs to China.

Religious freedom for rightwing extremist business owners who oppose birth control and abortion, but who traffic in merchandise made in China – where abortion is mandatory – and whose pension fund invests in birth control meds.

Religious freedom for government clerks who refuse to grant marriage licenses to same-sex couples, and for pharmacists who refuse to fill prescriptions for birth control.

Mitt Romney redux: “I can’t have illegals, I"m running for office, for Pete’s sake!”

If all the Latinos working for T. Rump in low-paying jobs called in sick en masse, his properties — all of them — would be crippled.
