Discussion: WaPo: Trump Starts His Days On Russia Probe With Outside Legal Team

Am I to infer from this that the 6:30 am calls are to his lawyersā€™ homes? Has Rump been advised something to the effect ā€œListen, donā€™t go onto Twitter until you talk to us first!ā€ sort of thing?

I think itā€™s pretty clear that this strategy hasnt worked.

Some Presidents would start their day working on how to protect the United States from Russian interference in our elections and government; how to protect against any cyber-attacks from any country or group; policies and programs that create jobs; health care policy that actually provides health care rather than taking it away; and similar mundane things. Perhaps even an intelligence briefing to tell him whatā€™s really going on in the world instead of in his head.

Meeting agenda:

Trump - have you read whatā€™s in the fake news? You guys need to fix this.

Lawyers - Mr. President, weā€™re working on this but you have to stop venting on twitter.

Trump - fix this now.

Lawyers - there is nothing to fix. The investigations are ongoing.

Trump - you guys are all worthless. Fix it or Iā€™ll get someone who can!

Lawyers - Thank you Mr. President.

Trump - whereā€™s my phone, I have to tweet.

Trumpā€™s advisers have encouraged him to make these morning calls in the hopes that he will then be able to focus on other issues afterward, but itā€™s not clear this has worked.

Well, it does allow him mental space to find ways to screw his followers and make them like it.

Ya think ?
This one:
Trump Suggests His ā€˜Tapesā€™ Threat Influenced Comeyā€™s Testimony

A good prosecutor will have him for lunch.
At his obstruction of justice testimony
So Mr. Trump , you were threatening Mr Comey?
Has a dumber fuck ever occupied the White House?

Did he call at 3 a.m. this morning?

Serious question: Does he ever do normal President-type work? Reagan and Dubya had been governors and must have had a vague, general idea of the what the job would be. Trump continues to seemingly have none. Never seen a public figure so absolutely impervious to learning.

He is a complete failure. Our countryā€™s safety, security, and welfare is in the hands of this impulsive liar. Geezā€¦ the GOP must come to this conclusion eventually, but the damage is so severe already. We must vote them out of office.

Iā€™m guessing he ā€œranā€ his businesses in a similar way, especially once the Russians started subsidizing him.

Quite a bit off topic, but I have been happy to read that Matt Taibbi has egg on his face, big time, for being a Trump Russia denier.
I read exactly article by him, almost 15 years agoā€”a content free assassination piece on Clark, where the main point was that Clark has beady, lifeless eyes.
Having read that Taibbi was a junkie, and reading his comments about women in Russia, cements my opinion.
That will be allā€¦ and you probably didnā€™t care.
This was prompted by an Eric Boehlert tweet.

He so fucking guilty and heā€™s obsessed with keeping as much of it under cover as possible because he knows if only part of it gets out heā€™s dead meat.

Basically. The most powerful man in the world needs to be changed, given his bottle, burped, and swaddled before he can start his day. This isnā€™t dementia or Alzheimerā€™s, this man is a seriously mentally disturbed. If I were Melania, Iā€™d be terrified of leaving Barron alone with him. Seriously, I wonder if thatā€™s why her parents spend so much time at the WH. When sheā€™s taking a shit or a shower, or getting some beauty treatment, someone is there to keep him away from the boy.

I thought he started his day with a spray tan, some serious hair gelling and an absolute avoidance of mirrors.

What a rotten life, really, think about it. He couldā€™ve been a star, not ever-ever at the Barack level, but lets say-somewhat of a star like from deep space 9 that sort of sparkles occasionally.

Love of money and nothing else works until it doesnā€™t. Heā€™s past that now and finding himself on an uninhabited island with the only maroon being he, the semi-orange, semi-dull purple maroonish boor.
The money wonā€™t even buy him great legal representation that would possibly rescue his stranded ass. Heā€™s risen to the top of his world and the view heā€™s afforded is looking up at the great people that are towering (haha) above him that donā€™t have one one-millionth of the financial worries and federal pressures that he has.

Donald J Trumpp, famous for being an asshole, famous for being a world class cheat and now on top of his game, recognized globally as an ignorant, petulant, unworthy, collaborator and colluder that cheated his way once again to an even higher platform of infamy.

What a guy, capable of wrecking everything when simple glory was right in front of him. Doh!

D.C. is a very nice place to take a walk in at 4:30 am. The air is still fresh and cool, and it is quiet enough for thinking. It would do Putinā€™s punk a lot more good than twitting.

I didnā€™t realize her parents were there. Iā€™ve been worried about him, seriously. She seems to be very protective of him, thank goodness.

I donā€™t believe he ever ā€œranā€ anything. Seems that his involvement in anything was its kiss of death. Iā€™m sure he believes his reality show was successful because of him but it wasnā€™t - that would be Mark Burnett. Nearly all other businesses he touched failed, went bankrupt or needed someone else to step in to bail him out.

Heā€™s the toddler in the old timey kiddie car seat who thinks heā€™s actually driving because he has a steering wheel.

Youā€™re kidding, right? Tramp couldnā€™t even haul his fat ass a few blocks to walk with the leaders of the G7 in Sicily! No, he had to be transported the short distance in a golf cart wearing, of course, his stupid red baseball cap.

International embarrassment, national disgrace.

Heā€™s been this way his entire life.

He never reads anythingā€”unless his name is mentioned in glowing adulation in the text.
He is little better than a functional illiterate as a result.
He believes he knows all there is to know that matters in his personal false-reality bubble.
His confirmation bias is off the charts, and his IQ is barely average.

Rememberā€”it is impossible to teach someone who doesnā€™t believe in the concept of learning.
