Trump is totally protected by the Republicans and the Supreme Court. He will not be indicted or impeached. The Democrats, ever toothless, leaderless and feeble will come out of the November elections in the same minority position in both houses. Pelosi will just shrug and join her son for New Years Eve at Mar A Lago. Schumer? Heāll be in the Hamptons with his banker friends. All in the game, suckers.

If you mean a pardon of trump by trumpā¦ that would put waaaay more pissed off people in the streets than the recent Pussy Hat II marches did (around 2 million people marched). And I strongly doubt trump can pardon himself. And if he did it would be an admission of guilt.

IANAL but actually I think this is something of a problem. I doubt you can be criminally liable for telling a falsehood unless you know it to be false, and one could make a hell of an argument that Donald J. Trump doesnāt really grok the concept of truth and falsehood (at least at this stage of his deterioration).

I was thinking a pardon by Pence, much like Fordās pardon of Nixon. Of course, I have high hopes that Pence will also be indicted, but my son points out that that would make us uncomfortably close to a banana republic. Actually, some days we already feel like a banana republic.
