Going to the Casino to put quarters in the slots is one thing. Filling out your NCAA Bracket in Russian is quite another.
I know a guy who considers himself VERY lucky to have gotten out of his gambling hole alive. He did lots of things he regrets when he was beholden.
This is actually a pretty standard outcome of a security clearance. If you gamble a lot, you are a good target to be turned by the bad guys. Nothing personal, just business. (If he won all the time, he’s got a different problem. The gaming industry will have their goons following him around.)
