Dude gambling thousand dollars in a bet in Trump World = Trusted enough to be the President’s personal assistant.

So trite in saying but… “All the best people”

Investigators did not believe his gambling was illegal but the habit made him a security risk because he could be influenced by outsiders, according to the Washington Post.

We need more investigators: how many casinos did Trump run?

His gambling issues are the very least of his compromises.

And then he immediately moves into a job at the campaign, because Trump doesn’t dare let a guy who knows what this guy knows out into the wild.

“CNN reported earlier this week that McEntee was investigated for “serious financial crimes,” but it’s not clear what he did that may have been illegal.”

Kiting checks or possibly counterfeiting. Counterfeiting being one of those level of crimes that would result in such a removal. But one would think it would also involve being tossed into the loving hands of FBI agents as soon as he was tossed off the WH grounds.

Being involved with Trump in any capacity is quite a gamble in itself.

Like writing checks to himself and getting a non-attentive supervisor to sign from the accounts of the Office?

Or raising funds by receiving under the table payments to set up meetings with the boss?

Endless possibilities.

If that’s all it was, why was he escorted off site so abruptly? Was the Resolute desk riding on an inside straight or something?

The question is how long have they known he was a degenerate gambler without doing anything about it?

The mistake, of course, is gambling with his own money. Trump’s doctrine and business model is strictly OPM.

Gambling badly gets you tied forever to one mob or another. They have you by the nads.

Going to the Casino to put quarters in the slots is one thing. Filling out your NCAA Bracket in Russian is quite another.

I know a guy who considers himself VERY lucky to have gotten out of his gambling hole alive. He did lots of things he regrets when he was beholden.

This is actually a pretty standard outcome of a security clearance. If you gamble a lot, you are a good target to be turned by the bad guys. Nothing personal, just business. (If he won all the time, he’s got a different problem. The gaming industry will have their goons following him around.)
