Why not back out and let tRump nominate Ted Nugent?

Or maybe one of the Palin kids?

The head of the Duck Dynasty clan?

Haspel fears the waterboard of democracy.

If Haspel is smart, she should back away again and stay backed away. Even if she is confirmed, she will face endless bad press throughout her term, as she should. Why put herself through this for Trump?

Keep drinking the Kool-aid, dear. It’ll all be good if you have nothing to hide…

This will be a hearing filled with “I was only following orders” and “John Yoo said it was legal.” The GOP enablers will then heap her with endless praise for keeping the country safe, noting that the lack of another 9/11 proves that enhanced interrogation has been an overwhelming success.

“Briefly backed away?” Don’t know what that means. If she doesn’t want to take the position, there is this little word called “NO.” Should someone make her aware of the western swinging door at this WH? This is nuts!

I say, clear away some desks and waterboard her on the floor of the Senate chamber during the hearings and broadcast it on national television. After all, according to Haspel and her Republican supporters and genius journalist Sean Hannity, waterboarding isn’t torture and it’s an effective way of getting to the truth.
But seriously, I hope the hearings go on, because I want to see the Dems make her cringe with their questioning. This person is dangerous for the country, and for the world.

I wonder how Trump is going to blame Senator Jon Tester after this nomination goes down in flames.

Yeah, I hear those senate confirmation hearings can be pretty tortuous…

They didn’t even put jumper cables on her hoo hah and waterboard her 160 times. What a wuss.

It is amazing what these blooming idiots will do for a for a few weeks or months of power!

First, they are flayed alive and every possible dirt crumb is brought into the light of day. Then, if they manage to get through the gauntlet, they’ll have the Great Orange Oz waiting in the wings to embarrass the crap out of them and toss them on the funeral pyre when he’s sick of them.

Haspel has some awfully sick shit along with moldy linen in her crypt. Can’t wait to see what is aired out…

Gotta like that, “moldy linen in her crypt”…

She should be having second thoughts. This Administration is notorious for ruining their nominee’s careers and reputations, not that she hasn’t done a bang-up job of that on her own.

Also beware that infamous “perjury trap” that somehow befalls most Republicans, when she’s asked about her role in the torture scandal.

It had to be Yoo.

Bring it on. A confirmation hearing for Haspel affords the country a long-overdue opportunity to shed some light on Bush era war crimes. I hope the Dems play hardball and that she goes down in flames.

"And Trump ancouraged… "

ancouraged is a cool word. It just looks pleasant.

She “fears torture questions”? Well, gee, I wonder how the actual torture victims must have felt. Playing the world’s smallest violin for her.

I’m very, very afraid that Haspel’s hearing is going to be an exercise in profiles in cowardice by the Democrats. I hope I’m proven wrong.
