“It is past time for Mr. Sanders to be honest with his supporters, before they take the campaign’s irresponsible ethos to greater extremes and thereby help ensure the election of Donald Trump.”
Hear! Hear!
Awaiting Trump tweets supporting Sanders and slamming WaPo again. Sanders continues to play right into his hands…
Bernie " I elected President Donald Trump" Sanders…
He is like Nader, if that does happen he will just continue to blame the Democratic party and Hillary and would take no responsibility.
Wow, that is really strong. I do fear Bernie has lost it…entirely.
He knows better than to NOT apologize for his supporters actions and completely avoiding their reprehensible actions tell me he’s gone over the edge, knowing there is no way he can win. He’s now turned himself into a sad old loser of a man right before our eyes.
Please give it up man before your folks hurt someone.
Ok, Bernie, you want to keep tearing away at Hillary? Let’s see the tax returns. Complete ones.
Let’s see the ones with Jane’s income from Burlington College. How about the one with Jane’s Golden Parachute from Burlington – $200,000 from a college with 200 students. Pretty good deal. Let’s see it.
I have literally heard people tell me to my face that if such-and-such happens, for example Trump’s election (WHICH GOD FORBID), it would be cool because it’ll bring about “the revolution” sooner. These are people who’ve never been in armed combat, never been in a fistfight, never been in a shoving match over a parking spot. They have no fucking idea what a revolution would be like. Orwell said it perfectly, it’s a kind of playing with fire by people who don’t even know that fire is hot.
Did you walk away laughing?
Better yet, how’s the wall?
Well, since the article could have been written about Trump, I think we know what we’re in for during the General Election. I hope County registrars are preparing their poll workers to deal with a candidate who’s fine with burning the house down instead of losing.
What I’d like to do is biff them one right on the nose. Or break one of their legs with a baseball bat. And then calmly tell them, while they writhed on the ground, that that’s about a tenth of a billionth of what they’re casually suggesting they’d like to inflict on everyone in the country.
I don’t do that, of course. Legal constraints and such. But I think it.
YouTube is filled with fat gun nuts with audiences of impressionable teen boys…
I agree.
If “the revolution” truly did occur, it would be a lot harder to put Humpty Dumpty back together again than these naive idealists think. We could end up like the former Yugoslavia.
They have no fucking idea what a revolution would be like.
Two things:
Sanders has managed to convince his supporters that America has turned into some kind of irredeemable hellhole therefore revolution (i.e. burning down the system) is necessary; and
Sanders is referring to "revolution’ as a very sanitary, controllable situation that doesnl’t involve extreme violence, pain, dislocation etc. All his followers have to do is “protest” “march” etc. He might want to remind the younger folk what happened at Kent State.
And let’s not forget, that college folded because of the irresponsible actions of Jane Sanders.
I know. They’re imagining their revolution as velvet-flavored. That’s because they think everyone thinks the way they do except for the few plutocrat meanies who run things. And they think anyone who disagrees with them is quite simply wrong, and will see the error of their ways when it’s explained why they’re wrong.
According to an article I read today, it is not entirely accurate that her land purchase directly caused the college to fold, although it was a contributing factor.
Its such an irredeemable hellhole that I had to park in BFE at COSTCO yesterday during the afternoon because it was so fucking busy. Normally I’d enjoy the stroll but it’s kind of a fucking pain in the ass with two little kids.
Oh, and homes sell in a matter of hours in my neighborhood.
And there are a record number of job listings as we speak.
And the unemployment rate for college grads in this country is @ 2.5% (that’s full employment and then some.)
And violent crime is down.
Yeah, dystopia. Definitely requires a revolution. Stupid fucks.
EDIT: I just learned that my city is adding a thousand high-paying tech jobs.
WOE IS ME
Even ignoring violence, the economic fallout would make 2008 look like losing pocket change on a couch.
Imagine the looks on their faces when they realize that pepper spray has been replaced by live ammunition.
And if they really don’t believe that a Kent State could happen in this day and age, ask some of the residents of Ferguson if it’s possible.
