We’ll never get anyone who wears this t-shirt to read the editorial.
And their savior will be Ted Cruz!
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAFUCKINGHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA1!!!11!!!
How long before we start hearing the Very Serious People in the MSM ask whether Mittens “Landslide” Romney might need to be “recruited”???
He performed much worse than Herman Cain in his interview. This guy is dumber than a rock. When does Katy Couric get to ask him what he reads? (His answer: “Tweets. Headlines.”
So why would that be? Do you imagine that the US security apparatus is not just a bit better than the Belgian one?
The people salivating at the thought of an attack on US soil (when apparently some hundred or so have been prevented) make me sick, even if you think it’s a joke.
No shit WaPo. Tell us something we don’t know.
My only question to WaPo is, how late to the table were you this time I wonder.
Not just a word salad, but a chopped, tossed word salad, with extra nuts.
Quite true. And there aren’t even that many true undecideds who are actively mulling it over. But there are many people who barely pay attention and make up their minds in the last week or on their way to the polling place or in the booth itself. So imagine they’re kind of leaning Republican because you’ve had a Democratic President for two terms, time for a change, that level of thinking. Except they’ve heard people they have some respect for talking in the lunch room about what an incredible dangerous buffoon Trump is. So they shrug and vote for Hillary. If the GOP had gone for a Huntsman type, that level of revulsion wouldn’t be going through the bloodstream of the body politic, wouldn’t be part of the mix. And that vote would have gone for the GOP. A while back I saw two conservative neighbors laugh and shake their heads when the name “Trump” was mentioned. We don’t see the people like them in the news, because they’re not at the rallies. But I’m out there talking with them about how the lawnmower’s running and I know they’re there.
thank you
Far right xenophobes are peddling this line including Cruz. FDR told us the only thing we have to fear is fear itself, and the right wing wants you to be very fearful because it works for them. There is nothing, nothing trump has proposed or will propose that would deter an ISIS attack, in fact he may the ultimate provocateur because of what he says about Muslims.
Hey give the guy a break – they were going to have a staffer prep him for this interview, but the campaign is a bit short-handed.
TRUMP: I don’t want to use, I don’t want to start the process of nuclear. Remember the one thing that everybody has said, I’m a counterpuncher. Rubio hit me. Bush hit me. When I said low energy, he’s a low-energy individual, he hit me first. I spent, by the way he spent 18 million dollars’ worth of negative ads on me. That’s putting [MUFFLED]…
RYAN: This is about ISIS. You would not use a tactical nuclear weapon against ISIS?
[CROSSTALK]
I’d like to hear more specifics on Trump’s position regarding muffled crosstalk.
If anyone can convince me to believe here’s some kind of god out there with a truly wicked sense of humor, I’m going to have to say at this point that it would be Derpy-D. How do you respond to that kind of shit? He’s either the dumbest person to run for President ever or the single most brilliant character actor ever to live such that he shames Daniel Day Lewis by a mile.
This is literally the only thing that comes to mind to compare it to (and his something that has given me and my friends hours of giggles…an old standby that truly never gets old):
That poor woman hahahahaha…
As the great Don Meredith once said (on MNF)
“I’m glad to know that!”
[seriously]
Deflect!!!..Sadly, bullshitting his way through has always been what he does best. I’m just surprised the media in some corners now are coming to this realization. Anyone that had a true love of country would have recognized this empty vessel in a heartbeat…but unfortunately party trumps country now so that’s all that really mattered for our media for so many months.
The corporate media are all a bunch of Johnny-Come-Latelys as far as I can tell, even with what’s been happening within the entire GOP establishment. They’ve ignored the complete intransigence and do-nothing Congress for so many years now…this was always going to be a natural outgrowth of their willful ignorance. I mean…“why can’t Obama lead” used to be their tagline. As far as I’m concerned…their stenography helped build that too.
The editorial boards of newspapers interview all the candidates from both parties, but you already know this. In this way they can make an endorsement or in this case just declare this one nuts. They’ll have the other R candidates soon enough, so no, they’re not late to the table. They’re on time.
Was it Practical Pig who said (of his brick house), “I built that!”?
Well, they built it…because, in spite of the fact that Trump is (how would I say… )
“Challenged”
He is on track to get the GOP Nomination, and the fuckers who are in charge of this particular Klown Kar will (this summer in Cleveland) say that the Party is as strong as ever (brick-like).
Just in time for Andrea, Chuck and George to ask “penetrating questions”…
I thought you were posting a screenshot from The Onion.
Wow.
I have neighbors across the street, an old couple who are well-educated, old-fashioned Rotary Club types of Republicans. I haven’t talked with them about this election thus far, but I would be extremely surprised if they ever vote for Trump. I’m in the Philly burbs, and my sense is there are probably more people like them in this area. Once going out into the “Alabama” areas of PA, though, well, it’s most likely an Alabama.
Thank you, I was thinking the same thing.
“(B)reezy willingness to ignore facts and evidence” made me think of their position when it came to Joe Wilson and the Powell UN speech.
The neocon shift was was in full action mode from their columnists all the way to the editorial board pushing the WMD slam dunk.
Trump may be way out of his depth on this but they can’t claim the same excuse.
