NOW is the time for Russ Feingold to use his supposedly awesome standing with the voters of Wisconsin and put his reputation to work: have a goddamn presser in Madison where he demands Walker open an investigation, and promise to keep the heat on and the issue on the front burner until Walker does. Or how about U. S. Senator Baldwin—aren’t her constituents Wisconsin residents? For Chrissakes, is there any Dem familiar with the term “bully pulpit?”
Walker went on to say that, no matter what the outcome of the investigation, he’s keeping the dog.
Ya don’t think that being unable to locate the documentation that justified the loan, by an agency that by all reports repeatedly failed to track loans and gave loans without full investigation across the board, might suggest WEDC had a few problems do ya? Course Scotty was out of town on fund raisers and foreign junkets to build his kitty and his foreign policy cred. At least he knows where Tel Aviv is.
How often do I have to say this.
Scotty has a LONG record of chicanery starting college, through his stint as Milwaukee County Executive and the Governor’s office. Colleagues have gone to prison for things they did for him, corruption abounds, and yet, every time, Scotty skates.
You think he is ripe for a takedown. He’s gotten away with it for so long, and is guarded by a creampuff press, control of the legislature and the courts and tons of money from the Kochs. He isn’t likely to go down.
This time it will TOTALLY be different. An indictment is right around the corner. 3
Totally.
Politics is inherently a dirty business. But Walker seems to genuflect before his billionaire benefactors to a far greater degree than the others. I wonder sometimes if he ever has an original thought or if he ever does anything that doesn’t come as an order from one of his masters.
But I don’t think we’re going to have to hear about his wife’s “good Republican cloth coat,” thank God.
No, he probably isn’t likely to go down. But don’t I see another name - an aide - in there? Walker’s coming to his defense. I think that’s what usually happens before they get indicted and what can Walker do then? Except to proclaim his own innocence; he had “no knowledge” this was happening on his watch, under his nose, etc., etc. And the aide gets convicted. You’d think there’d be Walker people who are getting tired of this.
As a former Wisconsinite mourning my home state, I continue to be astounded that this crook is getting away with it. smh
There are enough cheese hardened arteries in Wisconsin evidently to keep this filth in office on the state level. On the federal level is a different matter. How many out-of-wedlock children does this excrement have anyway?
Falling on swords, an essential skill.
Pols are very gun shy considering Walker’s walkers. I think most would rather step back and let, (hope) this house of cards collapses on itself, but that’s gonna take a real hard kick to the table.
Most “walkers” will love him up 'till he molests their own children, and even then, blame the victim.
It’s outrageous that the voters of Wisconsin elected this scoundrel again and again .
Crook.
Snotty walker is surrounded with stupidity and crooks…because water seeks it’s own level He is hoping this will save him from dealing with the educated of his future…They really passed this law…
Ugly stupid and crooks!
i’ve got a problem with the headline. scott walker cagey? scott does not do cagey. however, he does do lying, pandering, flopping, and spreading disinformation.
