On Wisconsin… Make these seats go Blue - free yourselves from the Walker Yoke joke!
And they’re both going blue
You’ll have some 'splanin to do the Kochs
Some people contrary to your beliefs still think democracy is a good idea.
You time is up
BOOM!
Knock, knock.
Who’s there?
Karma, the Bitch!
Walker:
I have scheduled the special elections to take place in Anchorage Alaska between midnight and 3am on June 31, 2018
Geez, when judges you thought you had in your corner slam you in public, you know your options are running out.
Time for Scooter to find a new job.
We’ll see shortly whether or not this is a trick. I wouldn’t put it past Walker to sched the elections, and then sign any bill the legislature passes in a special session that retroactively legislates away the special elections.
This is the man they RE-ELECTED. Maybe once they’re rid of him, people in that state will have learned a lesson they’ll remember for once. I have never been able to understand why a Cretin like Walker ever had any chance at all, given the History of politics in that state. But then, they also voted for Frankenputz didn’t they?
Some people just never learn.
Jefferson once remarked that people would get the sort of government they deserve, in a democracy. How right he was.
Well, anyway, he’s had a few extra days to purge all black people, furriners, and liberals from the voting rolls.
A win for the home team…
He must’ve gotten word that even the GOP WI Supremes weren’t on his side.
He is heavily subsidized by the Kochs, who are interested in having Scotty transfer the state-owned timber, mining, and energy resources to them for pennies on the dollar. The first campaign in 2010 was anti-government, anti-government workers and anti-union. From that point on, Walker has followed the typical ALEC agenda point by point.
Well, the Wisconsin GOP used its 2010 wins to impose a highly effective regimen of voter suppression and gerrymandering while cutting off unions and universities – two bastions of the left – at the knees. Going further back, as the factories closed down, younger and more progressive people moved away, the people left behind grew older, whiter and cranker and hooked themselves up to the Fox News/rightwing radio drip feed (thanks, Never Trumper Charlie Sykes, and enjoy your sweet new gig at The Times!). In a nutshell.
The other element is that many of the sort of voters left untouched by voter suppression had a big sad from 2010 on because, I dunno, Obama wasn’t Elizabeth Warren or something, and because Hillary something something NAFTA. They’re awake now!
When Walker won the recall there was a lot of talk about how voters were just turned off by the unfairness of recalling a recently-reelected governor, and fed up with hyper partisanship. If that’s at all true (and I have my doubts), then pulling that dirty trick could come back to haunt Walker and Co.
Koch’s will not be happy campers…
Guess Walker 2020 has sailed away with this ignominious defeat?
Once this evil creature is gone and the Democrats control the governorship in WI, they really need to go after Walker for his crimes. He has not had to face the music for the myriad of abuses he has committed from power there.
Democrats in general need to wake up and go after these Republicans who have committed fraud, obstruction of justice, electoral crimes, financial crimes, etc. They need to make a public and fearsome example of these “people.” No mercy.
What a wuss.
Trusting a republican with election integrity/fairness is like having a child molester as a babysitter.
Thanks. Can we please schedule a special election for MI-13 now? Conyers resigned in December.
