âThereâs a lot of hype and hysteria, particularly in the national media, implying this is a power shift Itâs not.â
Thatâs right, and thatâs the problem. The voters wanted a power shift, but Scotty-boy and his rotten henchmen stepped in to hijack the process.
Scum.

enjoy your retirement Scottie.

these bills being signed essentially mean that the legislators who voted for this, better pray that they have Walkerâs skill in beating back recalls.
Evers and others have argued Walker will tarnish his legacy by signing the bills
How on earth do you tarnish a turd?
I donât see how a legislature can say âyou are prohibited from doing xâ without demonstrating the public interest or need in doing so. A decision to withdraw from the ACA suit is within the normal functions of the official in charge (AG/GOV). Legislating this option away infringes separation of powers.
Scottie can put the pen he signed this bill back up his pie-hole where he just pulled it from.
Now ârelease the lawyersâ
He doesnât have a legacy worth protecting. Donât these morons realize Everâs will have to sign ANYTHING they want passed. (rhetorical question)
I was actually thinking that this was exactly in line with his legacy.
All of these Republican traitor-pigs need to have their public lives destroyed. Target these scumâŚnames, photos, addresses and the same for their immediate family.
They need to be confronted like the cockroaches they are in the street. No justice? No peace.
But is the WI Supreme Court composed of partisan hacks? If not, whatâs the point? They know theyâd be immediately challenged on these âbills.â
Luckily for WI, Evers will be governor when the maps are redrawn after the 2020 census. It will take years but WI at least has a chance to get back on track.
These folks sure better hope there are still plenty of lucrative jobs with the Kochs when theyâre finally kicked to the curb.
Just the sleaziest ever!
Hope the people of Wisconsin start recall proceedings of these dope in the legislature.
Nice summary of the situation in this article https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2018/12/how-did-republican-party-get-so-corrupt/578095/
After Wisconsin Democrats swept statewide offices last month, Robin Vos, speaker of the assembly, explained why Republicans would have to get rid of the old rules: âWe are going to have a very liberal governor who is going to enact policies that are in direct contrast to what many of us believe in.â
As Bertolt Brecht wrote of East Germanyâs ruling party:
Would it not be easier
In that case for the government
To dissolve the people
And elect another?
Republican = kleptocratic authoritarian. Also, whining assholes.
Yup. Excellent. Lays out how the party became more and more extreme over time. They were bad even in FDRâs day, but today-oh man. Weâre going to have to work for the rest of our lives to marginalize them and fix what theyâve broken.
Hereâs hoping the courts strike down most of this. Most hypocritical is Walker using the power he just took away from Everâs to give taxpayer $'s to a corporation.
And just how, pray tell, is that going to happen?
If we get out of this mess in one piece, we should be thankful to Trump for exposing how rotten the whole party was. I donât think many people were aware of this, and would still treat both sides as equal if he hadnât won. I donât think they can survive it now as a party, if we do, of course.
Could he refuse to sign anything until they overturn this mess?
