Was the check in dollars or macaca?
I am in awe of this dude, first for the sign and second for being able to stand that close to Scott Walker and not puke.
His staff must have been away placing cheesesteak orders to not notice this.
My god, that’s genius.
I’d elect the guy with the sign president.
New Campaign slogan: Scott Walker, he is a dumb as he looks.
Macaca can only be used in Virginia.
I yield to nobody in thinking little of Scott Walker and thinking he’s not so bright and all, but these cheesesteak stories are really kind of bogus, OK? They said the same thing about Kerry. What happens is, some candidate comes to Philly and eats a damn cheesesteak, and the local press has to make a story out of it, except it’s really not much of a story in itself—it’s just a person eating a sandwich. So they pretend there’s an ironclad set of rules for ordering cheesesteaks and it’s a huge faux pas not to do it right, when that’s really basically not true. They made a big deal about Kerry asking for Swiss, when that’s perfectly reasonable by any regional standard of cheesesteak-eating, and they even talked about his exact manner of eating it, like he nibbled at it effetely or something. It’s really very stupid. The Philadelphia Inquirer food writer who did the Walker story is pretty knowledgeable about food but he completely mischaracterized my own town once because it helped the story. L’affaire cheesesteak is a media narrative, done by people who’ve gotten into some pretty bad habits over the years, not an actual thing. There’s enough bad things to say about Scott Walker without this.
It was all I could do not to spit my coffee on my keyboard! Too funny!!
First the phone call from a Koch and now the sign. I really hope this turns into a thing!
Jury is still out on that.
$900 Million. It is a thing.
Later Alfred E. Walker took phone calls…and during the very first one, he paused and said, “OK. Wait just a second and I’ll ask. 'Does anyone have Prince Albert in a can?”

Agreed. At some point, shouldn’t the media write/talk about the fact that none of these GOP candidates have any concrete ideas for solving any of America’s/the world’s problems?
We have 15 months until the general election. I would love a substance-filled campaign, but it isn’t possible.
If pols are going to engage in location-specific customs as a symbol of their bond with the region, people are bound to point out how (in)accurately the custom was followed. The candidate is trying to use their custom as a photo op, after all.
If a candidate appears bumbling or uncomfortable in truly public venues over the course of a campaign, eventually it sinks in. Think 1992 GHW Bush or 2012 Romney.

For people with bad eyes like me…
Walker is SUCH a yutz. He is really a classic conservative candidate: Loud, not-that-bright, whose strength is repeating conservative talking points ad nauseaum so many times, that he believes them (but doesn’t really understand them). If he had any brains he would live in constant fear of getting punked (again) but as dim witted as he is, it doesn’t really faze him. I am beginning to wonder if he is the companion piece to Cariboo Barbie.
No they really won’t with a few exceptions. They will only talk about substantial issues/ideas until a new non-story can be used to trump the substance. Currently they are all waiting to pounce on anything Hillary Clinton may do that is not up to their (double) standard. Meanwhile, they will go into their “this race will be close” mantra in a few months with “several blues states may turn red.” Think “Chuck Todd” and “Pennsylvania”.
Gee, that’s never happened to him before…well there was that one caller told him he was one of the Koch brothers.
