What the people of Wisconsin should ask and demand an investigation into the Fact that Scott Walker have had connections with the Russians and Russian Spy Maria Butina. Also how many of the Wisconsin state legislature Republicans took money for their campaigns or personal use. Wisconsin and the American people want to know.
If Walker could have signed it at 1159 pm on Christmas Eve, he would have.
Actually, if I understood it right, he would have had until Dec. 26th to act on the bill…I expected him to sign it then, after Christmas gatherings where people could talk about it. The lawsuit will have to be filed over the holidays, which may mean it gets lost in the holiday news…hopefully WI people keep on top of this antidemocratic action and make the Republicans pay for it going forward. At least they won’t be able to gerrymander like last time, 2022 should lead to a fairer legislature and less of this crap.
Of course he’s going to sign… He was ALWAYS going to sign, & the tap-dancing was spin. A weasel & a tool for his wealthy donors, with no regard for [small-“D”] democratic principles or traditions, right to the end.
The $28 million in corporate welfare to Kimberly-Clark? Walker WANTED to give them $100 million, but couldn’t get his own GOP legislators to play along.
But that’s bus fare compared to the $4.5 BILLION [with a “B”] Walker handed to Taiwan’s Foxconn, the largest investment by a U.S. state EVER in a foreign corporation.
How do we trace campaign donations to Walker’s PAC from Foxconn & Kimberly-Clark? Some serious currency changed hands, I assure you.
The reason for the Foxconn gamble is Walker’s need to cover up his failure as the “Open for Business Governor” [self-titled]. Under Walker, Wis. fell to 50th [Dead Last] in “new business start-ups”. Wis. used to be competitive with Minn. in many measures. No longer, under Walker.
–> It’s BAD when you’re worse than Mississippi.
Wisconsin GOP, you shall rue the day these “laws” go into effect. Oh yes, you shall.
