Discussion: VP Biden Shuts Down Dem Objections To Trump's Electoral College Win: 'It Is Over'

Tell you what, Joe - it’s obvious to me that you and the rest of the administration are determined that this is the case.

In fact, a large number of Americans don’t agree with your position on this.

He is not my president and he will never be my president and there is a psychological factor here that the administration isn’t getting - y’all are exhibiting a lack of will to win. Y’all are into being martyrs about this, like Stephen Dushan and the Serbians at Kossovo, when the Turks wiped them out.

Liberals have this streak and comes from being right about things and knowing it - we decide to sacrifice ourselves to that and it’s futile and it’s one thing that keeps us losing.

I hate how he put it, but i understand where he’s coming from.

‘Fight,get beat,rise and fight again.’

All that matters now

To me this is where the fight started and I don’t think anything changes that - it starts right where this election overturned everyone’s expectations and what happened, given the Russians, the charges of vote fraud and counter charges.

I don’t see the point of voluntarily giving up one of our fighting points. The man was not elected fairly or honorably or in an American fashion.

I’d interject to fix the system if possible before the next fight…

To?

Roll over, play dead.

One of these days, I might get to see a Democrat who walks into a room and says he’s there to kick ass and chew gum. And that he’s all out of gum.

For days now over at RawStory I’ve been LOLing at the pseudoprogressives’ response to the news that over 50 Trump electors at the EC were not qualified to vote. Their response in a nutshell: “We hate Hillary’s guts! Never Hillary! Never Hillary! If I had bothered to vote I would have written in Bernie because of my snow-white conscience!! …SO WHY ISN’T THE ARROGANT B**** FIGHTING HARDER TO SAVE US!!?”

He won. He got the most electoral votes. Unless there was cheating in the actual voting/counting, we don’t have a case. This has nothing to do with rolling over and playing dead. It’s about the integrity of our country’s democracy. If you don’t like the rules as is, change them. Bitching and whining just makes things worse.

In denying one objection, Biden said, “It is over.”

Unfortunately, no. The worst is just beginning.

Ah, the shopworn appeal to “integrity”: the “integrity” of the game, the “integrity” of our country’s democracy, etc, etc, etc.

The integrity of this country: your new chief executive is a fraud, a scumbag, a liar, a sexual assault advocate and the single most unqualified individual to sit in the Oval Office.

The integrity of this country: an election thrown by an FBI director who hated one of the candidates so much and so far, has gotten away with it.

This country has no integrity. But it certainly feels great to know that those so concerned about the “integrity of the country’s democracy” and ready to shrug it all away.

A trial fixed from the start isn’t a fair trial, neither is its tainted outcome. There is no integrity about that at all.

I was referring specifically to presidential election since EC is the only one that really applies to. Other fights in congress I assume Ds will lose but just need to state that they think Rs ideas will fail and what they think we should do instead, so that when they do fail they can say we told you, vote for us and will try what we said we should have done in the first place and hopefully they will get voted in then. About all they can do right now.
