Shorter response:
Dear Kobach,
Drop Dead.
Signed,
California
Here’s Alex Padilla, California Secretary of State. In June he told Kobach he would not cooperate and he’ll just have to repeat himself every time to get through to this ignorant bigot.
“The President’s appointment of Kobach–who has a long history of sponsoring discriminatory, anti-immigrant policies including voter suppression and racial profiling laws–sends a clear and ominous message. His role as vice chair is proof that the ultimate goal of the commission is to enact policies that will result in the disenfranchisement of American citizens.”
"I will continue to defend the right of all eligible voters to cast their ballots free from discrimination, intimidation or unnecessary roadblocks.”
A wonderfully eloquent Go Fuck Yourself to Kobach.
“…other general observations that may be drawn from the data,…”
Ah, "other general observations". I can see them now........
"As far as can be ascertained, the only way Democrats manage to win elections is through conniving, cheating, fraud and the votes of their cats, dogs, dead relatives and former KGB operatives. That's the way we see it."
I don’t see Gov. Tom Wolf in PA caving in either.
Proud of my home state.
Good luck keeping your roads passable once Trump embargoes your Federal highway funds.
I’m sure that’ll be just the beginning of the “List of Retribution”. Trump lives for getting even.
In his no statement last time he said Kobach could have the public data available to any citizen for $20.
the White House’s bogus voter fraud panel
I would like to commend TPM for the editorial decision to use the above phrasing whenever discussing this travesty of a mockery of a sham of two travesties of a joke.
““Once the commission’s analysis is complete, the commission will dispose of the data as permitted by federal law. The only information that will be made public are statistical conclusions drawn from the data,”
Do you see it? See it? Yeah…
“Here’s our conclusions!!! VOTER FRAUD IS EVERYWHERE AND ALL THE TIME!!!”
“I don’t buy it. What makes you think that?”
“It’s just statistics man…MATH…how can you argue with math???”
“Oh, well, lemme see the data you used for doing that math, so I can do some peer review and understand the statistics.”
“Sorry…it’s all gone…you’re gonna have to trust us…but look!!! NUMBERS!!!”
Could we put him in charge of knives in the white house kitchen?
Hey Kris isn’t there a spot opening up in your state? How are you going to do your elected job SoS for KS, run for Governor of KS, while fooling around with numbers?
I’m not too worried, as California is a pretty robust place.
I know that there are many who will disagree with me on this: This week may well be the beginning of the end for Trump.
. I think Sen Graham’s comments today reflected the heartfelt feelings of republican senators about Trump, and has mostly lost their support,
. Graham’s upcoming bill to require judicial review for any attempt to fire Mueller (or any special prosecutor) is probably completely serious, and pretty well undermines Trump’s ability to obstruct justice by dodging investigation.
. The house decisively passsed the enhanced Russia sanctions bill and, in the process essentially called “B.S.” On Trump’s assertions of Russian innnocence – the same house that would pass bills of impeachment on the very same issue.
Not a good week for Trump.
Well, considering he knew they weren’t looking to pay for it, and they won’t, at least he sees away to add to the state’s coffers. Several millions of voters at $20 a pop is a nice piece of change.
