OT, but I think there may be some kind of behavioral gene that kicks in when you become a Mom - I would call it the “ability to dole out guilt with the best of them.” I know I caught myself doing this often, especially when my sons were in the 12-18 age range.

If we all scrupulously agree not to look down on them, how will they know it? I think we went through this with the discussion two years ago about not having had enough empathy for the economically anxious. In the meantime the administration is stealing people’s children and losing them in a vast society where they’ll never be found again. What sort of way might be found to object to that without offending the base?

Chances are, every signature they get is from someone who’d never have gone there in the first place.
In the end, it will probably be a net gain of customers for this owner. Though a winger or two will probably set up some short-lived anti-appetizer, pro-white nationalist protest across the street for a day or two.

Do you remember the bad old days when we judged everyone so harshly from our high and mighty thrones, when political correctness ran so rampant, that people didn’t say racist shit in public? Well, we do look down on them, but that’s not because they’re Republicans (heck, in my misspent youth I’ve voted Republican myself), but because they steal babies from their mothers and put them into concentration camps. If they support that, I’m going to shun them, if they stop doing that, I’m going to welcome them back to civilization.
They drew the line, they stepped over it, we’re just standing firm and not letting them move the line again.
