Va Dems Confirms, in strange way, he’s a pedophile
The headline confused me. Apparently he fathered the child in the usual way, but he announced it in a strange way.
I think he does have family mondy. But the stupid is not the result of middle age – Joe Morrissey has been a creepy sleezebucket for as long as I have heard his name.

Well, he was her boss, for one thing. It’s generally frowned upon for bosses to have sex with the people who work for them because it is not an equal-to-equal relationship. And, as someone has pointed out, the age of consent in Virginia is 18; if he was having sex with her before she turned 18, as her father has contended he did, then he has committed statutory rape.
In March, Morrissey was still in contention for the Democratic nomination for that state senate seat. When reporters asked him whether he was the father of the child, his reply was that he would have a statement to make about that at some later date. (I think he may have even specified “in June.”) Which as far as I’m concerned was as good as confirming that he was, except in a way that was typical Morrissey sleaziness.
June happens to be when the primary is held, so perhaps he was thinking about making his statement after the primary. But his application for a slot on the ballot was rejected because the committee charged with overseeing the pirmary determined that there were an insignificant number of legitimate signatures – the packet of signatures included many, many duplicate pages. So he won’t be on the primary ballot; apparently he’s still planning on running as an independent, but I don’t think he’s likely to win the seat. So I guess he figured he had nothing to lose by 'fessing up at this point.
He’s Catholic.

I have to admit, morrisey is an even bigger asshole than I had thought, and I already thought he was a huge one. geez, what do this girl’s parents have to say about all this?
After reading his wiki page I must agree.
Reminds me of an old joke (I think from Woody Allen, appropriately enough):

I thought the same thing. Thought it would end up with him blaming a “dirty toilet seat” or something odd.
