Discussion: Vince Foster's Sister Condemns Trump's 'Irresponsible' And 'Cruel' Speculations

The Republicans and Fox News and Drudge have no problem dragging this poor family though the mud for dubious political gain. They are lower than scum.

“How could this be coming from the presumptive Republican nominee for president?” she wrote.

It didn't come from Trump, other people were telling him this. He was just passing along what ***THEY*** said. Ya see?

Trey Gowdy: There never really was any serious investigation about Hillary’s role in Foster’s murder. My committee will be glad to look into it.

I am going to be blunt.

The MSM is at the centrepiece here. No other entity is “on trial”. In a functioning Fourth Estate, a quarter of major newspapers would be calling for this man’s removal as a candidate for the Nations highest office. We have now met the enemy and “he is us”

And the “us” is the profit-craving MSM, which is now in the position to “normalize” anything that this man-child wishes to say.

Corrupt public figure? Bring charges…like the Illinois Governor some years back.

Who will “bring charges” (for Malpractice) upon the MSM? Who is going to “vote the MSM out?” And after decades of info-tainment bullshit, who would wish to? I have seen reams of well-written articles dealing with the sociopathic nature of Trump…all written for wonky political junkies…In the meantime, social reality for the rest of us is provided by MSM stenographic, butterknife-questioning whores…all blaring from pastel-coloured studios reaching millions.

Sadly, Drumpf and his ilk will have no idea what “cruel” means unless it touches them or their families directly. Maybe not even then.

Yes. You should apologize to scum for the comparison.

If OCCUPY had had the sense to minimize the libertarian shape-shifters (who can meld their “views” to things similar to the most liberal Progressive AND the most bigoted Bagger–in the same sentence), it would have included the MSM in its matters of interest.

If we had a functioning Fourth Estate, there would have been no Trump.

Thank you for this. I think this is the best comment on TPM in years. Truly spot on. The MSM has done all it can to normalize racism and bigotry. It started as soon as Obama became a candidate for president. One of the most racist and bigoted man in the nation is running for president and they treat him with kid gloves. But spend lots of time spinning non-stories about Clinton’s emails.

Brilliant. Well done. I always enjoy reading your writings, emiliano.

Don’t worry Sis…Trump will just retract it later or pretend he was just ‘asking’ as MANY PEOPLE want to know…

“This is scurrilous enough coming from right-wing political operatives who have peddled conspiracy theories about Vince’s death for more than two decades. How could this be coming from the presumptive Republican nominee for president?” she wrote.

Because the presumptive GOP nominee for president is now the voice of Alex Jones and other right-wing political operatives who have peddled conspiracy theories about Vince Foster’s death for decades.

I could not agree more. I am depressed and disturbed at the MSM’s part in the apotheosis of the vulgar Trump. Their ONLY concern appears to be how much money they can make off of this election cycle and the answer is a great deal as long as the Trump lunacy continues. If he were to become President they might not enjoy it so much because he would probably find a way to muzzle them, to make sure they presented him in the most flattering manner possible. But then they aren’t far off that mark right now.

The precipitous decline in newspapers in this country and the switch to the Internet for news has probably played a large role. Not that there weren’t biased newspapers but the Internet is fragmented into thousands of blogs, news media, etc. where more than ever people can pick what they want to read and screen out what they don’t. I read TPM instead of Red State so I’m guilty as well but I also read newspapers.

You are welcome.

Thank you.

Thank you for both posts…and my thanks to dswx and albesure as well. We owe it to our children to remind them that, while the Fourth Estate of yesteryear had its severe shortcomings, the (since the late 1970s–and getting worse by the year) intersection of corporate policy, dissemination of information and lucre/greed of the MSM has brought this nation to its knees.

I agree with you; however, it would have been helpful if you had chosen to type out what MSM stands for: Main Stream Media at the first usage. I think your grammar teacher, if in fact you had one, would be happier.

It read a bit confusing.

“…How could this be coming from the presumptive Republican nominee for president?” she wrote.

This highlights what is so unprecedented about the current state of GOP politics. In the good old days, the GOP would use proxies to make wild allegations and plant rumors of scandal and nefarious deeds. The Donald Drumpf neither knows nor cares that those of Presidential timber are expected to take the high road. All he knows are the ethics of reality TV, where the most crude, insensitive, low-down, dirty, mean-spirited language is not just acceptable, but gobbled up by the unwashed masses who watch that drivel. This is his base. This is the America That Loves Drumpf. This is who holds sway in today’s GOP.

I feel for the family as well. Trump’s conspiracy theories…he is mentally ill.
