How can Islam survive as a “religion” in light of these continuing barbarities in this day and age? ISIS’ acts are hard to fathom…fucking Neanderthals.

Shit. In that first photo of both Japanese hostages a week or so ago, I was so struck by the bravery on Mr. Goto’s face. How absolutely horrible and heartbreaking that it ended this way after all.

I choose to call these despicable people Pig Eating Cowards for lack of a stronger term. It takes no courage to kill a defenseless person. ISIS, or whatever they choose to call themselves, are like their brothers Boko Haram, a cult of death. They are not, in my eyes, Muslims as they contravene the most important basic concepts of that religion.

Islam will survive just fine. You cannot make one billion muslims responsible for the atrocities these terrorist do. Islam will survive the same way Germany survived Hitler, Japan survived Tojo, Christianity survived the crusades and America survived the Klan. A little bit of introspective critical thinking might be require before posting stuff like that.

Really horrible. The Japanese understand honor, trust, honesty and empathy better than just about any culture on earth. They also understand the consequences of blind chauvinism and the cruel excesses it engenders. Too bad ISIS doesn’t get any of this.
This Islamic State bunch (along with Boko Haram) really suck at public relations.
