Discussion: Veterans Group Sues To Block VA Shadow Rulers

Sunlight is the best disinfectant. Getting the rest of their records would be a big deal.

These folks obviously have their own, I mean the veteran’s, best interests at heart. That’s what privatization is all about. The vets and the government pay more money for services and the providers make more money for said services.

It’s the Mar-a-lago grift.

This is the “Deep State,” Trump style.

It’s even possible that some of these american oligarchs are just plain out of touch enough to believe their own hype. Especially when you stand to make a perfectly legitimate profit, it’s not that hard to make yourself believe that the government system really is dysfunctional and you could do it better.

Ironic that with all the legal ways Trump could be stopped (and imprisoned for life) for his corrupt activities, it is a former ‘loyal’ employe who may bring him down. SHAME ON OUR CONGRESS. Especially McConnell.

I am so happy that Trump and his abettors have not yet completely corrupted the judicial system. At this point, they are the only institution capable of (and willing to) stop this thievery. I know, they are working on “correcting” that…November can’t come fast enough for me.

These grifters are looking for every opportunity to take advantage of veterans, and once again it’s the left trying to ACTUALLY help. Why can’t the left rub their noses in stuff like this?

Hopefully, Mcraven’s statement from yesterday opens a floodgate of veteran opposition to this obscene scam being perpetrated on the VA and every vet in the system.

Someone with their own interests at heart should think twice about dicking over a couple million people who actually know how to operate an actual assault rifle and execute an ambush.

Sure, if “better” means more vast uncountable wealth for the already vastly wealthy. There is a reason government handles services like these (infrastructure, public transit, military, Veteran health care, parks, Social Security). in the first place. The reason is: its not their nature to be profitable. They always operate at a loss. That’s why people (thru government) work together paying taxes to fund these services, trying to keep expenses at a minimum, but acknowledging they won’t make a profit.

Rich people are always claiming they can be more efficient and make money running services. They CAN’T, it just isn’t the nature of the services to be profitable.

What the wealthy pigs do is suck out the value of materials, sell off any assets (see: post office buildings, library buildings, parklands), get rid of or just plain cheat (low pay no benefits) labor, and then . . . dump the remaining mess back on the Government.

It happens over and over again. Why? Because a lot of our government is owned & controlled by the vastly wealthy. Its just another scam: “privatize” and loot a government agency or service; and when its completely looted, dump it back on the government.

Trump’s disgustingly rich “pals” (I can’t believe he has any friends!) are doing this to the Veteran’s Hospitals right now. Also our Public Parklands. And they’re always plotting to grab that golden goose: Social Security. Oh HOW they want to get their sticky fingers on Social Security’s trillions of dollars. Oh Yes, indeed, they’re salivating more than Pavlov’s dogs ever could. And with Trump, McConnell and the GOP in power, they may succeed.

PS: I learned all this in Junior High School (middle school today) in 8th Grade, in my mandatory for graduation Civics & Government class. Year: 1967. Apparently Civics and Government is no longer taught at all in public school, let alone mandatory. Hell, a large number of kids from well-to-do (white) neighborhoods can barely read.

ProPublica has been in Beast Mode.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the right wing hasn’t already been trying to figure out a way to weaken the organization.

The entire Trump Administration along with all hangers-on and supporters must be punished so severely that they will never be able to open their mouths and whine about anything ever again.

I prefer Zyklon B myself.
In other ironic news, Bayer (originators of Bayer Aspirin and Zyklon B) just bought Monsanto because nothing fits in the portfolio of a company committed to ending headaches than having Roundup as its new product line. Maybe they’ll call it Zyklon R?

My awesome nurse PA who I’ve had for 12 years just took early retirement from the VA because of all of this craziness. I wonder how many awesome people have left too.

Civics is taught in California according to the Education Code. It goes by a different name. Not sure, maybe Economics and Government. My grandson took it his last semester of high school. Purposely taught then when they were close to voting age.

So, aside from profit motive, what do these people have to do with veterans? Are they veterans? Are their kids veterans? Why are they interested in/qualified to dabble in the subject?

As with all things Trump, it just reeks.

Speaking of the VA, this is a terrific article about the quality of care:

Thank you VoteVets!
As a member I was surprised to read it is a liberal group. Other similar groups I’m in, Vietnam Veterans Against the War and Veterans For Peace, are highly qualified in that regard, but I didn’t see VoteVets so much that way. Now the American Legion is the flip-side of this coin. Don’t get me started on them.

I had read that taxpayer monies were used for VA officials to go to Mar-A-Lago and talked to these three guys. I think they should reimburse the taxpayers for this unnecessary expense.
