Discussion for article #224473
This article is totally untrue. Accidental gunfire? Never happens with responsible, expertly trained gun owners. No, the heroic vendor was actually standing his ground against the woman’s obviously aggressive leg.
But I’m sure there must be plenty of false equivalency anecdotes about women who were accidentally stabbed by overly enthusiastic Ginzu knife salesmen. It must happen all the time.
Wait, how did this happen with all of those heavily armed there? I thought arming everyone was the answer.
Obviously this guy was an irresponsible gun owner. He became one the second that gun fired, up until that very moment he was a responsible gun owner.
Clearly just a new approach to marketing. “Buy this holster or else.”
Same old story—the stupid bastard took out the mag but left a round in the chamber.
Interesting point—this gun show, like many others, absolutely forbids bringing in loaded weapons. Are the organizers gun-a-phobes, Libs? What other reason could there possibly be for being in any way concerned about having lots and lots of people walking around with and handling loaded guns?
I was attending a gun show here in Minneapolis. The NRA always has a table at these shows and the NRA yahoo was filling very large balloons with helium and tying them to his table. I watched as one got away, when it hit the steel structure in the ceiling it popped with a very loud bang. I’ve never seen so many overweight middle aged white men move so quickly in all my life, quite a few hit the deck. It was really quite funny, but I saw it coming. The NRA guy was asked to put his balloons away.
He had no choice: she was going for a gun!!
The only thing that can stop a bad balloon is a good guy with a gun.
The natives seem to accept this kind of accident as the price they must for freedum. You called it: Police say that there was not a magazine attached to the weapon, however there was a round in the chamber.

Not even: balloons are merciless!
And I for one welcome our new air-filled latex overlords.
Ha! Great way to cull the herd.
In a related story a drunk driver ran over someone at a car show.
In a related story somebody fell down the stairs at a model home.
If these knuckledraggers could just keep it like this - killing or maiming each other - I’d be okay with all their 2nd Amendment bullshit.
You point out an important (and often ignored) hypocrisy - Why do gun shows forbid loaded weapons at their events? If more weapons “at the ready” is the answer to safer human interaction, they should apply that to themselves. To highlight a related hypocrisy, why do the same congressmen who support open carry everywhere not allow guns around their workplaces?
Maybe we need more PSA dildos training videos?
I hear that every time a gun nut shoots another gun nut, an angel gets its wings.
If they find it, they’ll play with it…
