Discussion: VA Report: No Proof Veterans Died Because Of Delays

Discussion for article #226861

What do you know??? More made up BS from the Rethugs and a broken media currently fixated on presidential golf.

Back in my “working for Uncle Sugar” days, I knew a whistleblower, and the allegations of Dr. Foote are of a familiar type.

Patients waiting too long for care? Correct, and that should be fixed. Patients dying while waiting? Well, yes. Sick people do die. Delay in care caused death? Well, no. The whistleblower wants you to make that inference, because it makes his allegations more sensational, more headline-worthy.

We need whistleblowers, but their allegations need to be taken with a grain of salt. Verify before going ballistic.

So an agency that was caught falsifying documents to cover it’s misdeeds is now telling us that no veterans died because of those very misdeeds? How convenient!

The VA OIG has shown all the correct signs of being independent, and of not being a participant in whitewashing the problems at the VA. When you start asserting that “everyone is part of the cover-up,” you start sounding like a typical conspiracy monger.
