Having a prison-industrial complex means keeping it fed, usually with the blood of immigrants and minorities. Jailing people should never be a for-profit venture as we’ve already seen, for example, by the actions of sheriffs in southern states.
I looked at your profile. Please let us know whatever you deem would be helpful to the rest of us on this issue as you assist your client.

Wait, this facility is licensed by the Commonwealth of VA? It’s not a federal facility, it’s not a state facility, its a privately operated facility that is licensed by the state?

Will do. It is strange finding myself a player, even of a small part, at the center of an intense national debate regarding what our country should stand for. These vicious attacks on foreign citizens and asylum seekers really strike at our most basic values as a nation: fundamental Statue of Liberty and “The New Colossus” ideals.
