Discussion for article #224428
Why isn’t this prick in custody for…something? There had to be something illegal here.
They actually thought that would work?
He’s toast and his daughter will never be a judge.
A high school senior being recruited to play Division I football knows better than to bite at deals like this.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but it DID work, didn’t it? Just not for this idiot and his daughter?
It musta been the cellphone that sealed the deal…
They must have some good dirt on him to get him to agree to this.
Yep, the idiot destroyed his career and his daughters, and for what? A cell phone and good health benefits? Now he’s unemployed, and possibly unemployable and potentially going to jail.
Serves him right for making that deal. His former district has some of the highest numbers of uninsured in VA and he quit his job specifically to keep them from getting medicaid. It’s really sick.
And the only phone he’ll have access to doesn’t ‘dial out’.

Paging Anthony Kennedy. Here’s your quid pro quo, son.
Isn’t taking bribes illegal?
Do not collect $200 and do not pass GO!
its amazing how easy gov’t files charges against regular people for the smallest offense, however when politicians and the rich brazenly break the law - its borderline. just think, if his daughter went along with this deal, a sitting judge would have known about an unlawful deal and did not alert law enforcement
He and the ex-Gov can be cellmates.
Virginia State Sen. Phillip Fuckit (D)
Yup, it fits. What a P.O.S.
Well, it depends. If I offer you something to do something, and you do it, and then I don’t actually give you what I said I would - did you ever actually get bribed?
The really annoying thing is that the GOP’ers I know are sure to turn around and claim that – because a Democrat was involved — this is prove that Democrats are corrupt!
If I’m not mistaken, that’s the essential situation in most sting operations, upon which convictions for intent are basedt.
