Richard Spencer, a 2001 UVA graduate who helped organize the march on Aug. 11, 2017, is one of the 10 people now banned from campus.
He’s been banned in Europe, his wife done left him, and now his college is turning it’s back on him. I’ve heard some pretty sad country songs in my day, but this one’s going to be a doozy.
Based on a Steve Goodman suggestion, David Allan Coe came up with this gem:
the last verse goes like this here:
Well, I was drunk the day my mom got out of prison
and I went to pick her up in the rain
but before i could get to the station in my pickup truck
she got run ned over by a damned old train
Poor Richard. No wife, no more UVA homecomings.
Maybe he should go back to writing almanacs.
Perhaps UVA should rethink its curriculum and culture.
