That was indeed unconscionable - Wisconsin is almost always close and hard-fought. Hard to win if you don’t even show up.
A 1st graph typo and buried lead with an AP byline…sigh. But love the photo!
And why she campaigned in states like solidly-blue Delaware made no sense unless she was so supremely over-confident that she would win.
No. She had only one vote. The voters choose who to vote for. Voters of your persuasion lost her the election.
Yes, because that worked out so well in PA and OH. She didn’t go to WI because she didn’t know she needed to. She didn’t go to CT or MA either and for the same reasons. All available polling told the campaign such a trip was unnecessary.
Trump retweeted. No mention of his hissy fit before leavin podium without signing.
How many times did Obama go to MI and WI in 2008 or 2012? Hint: try he same number of times Clinton did.
Yeah and for two days there was a story on Rawstory about how Bernie Bros were useful idiots for Putin.
I suppose that’s why they are all out making pre-emptive strikes for two days now.
Apples and oranges - Obama was a stronger candidate, and ran a better campaign. A more instructive example would be Kerry in 2004 - he and or Edwards made innumerable visits to WI in the general. Same with Gore in 2000. They both won, but it was very close both times (10,000 and 5,000 votes respectively, IIRC).
Speaks for itself.
Are you calling me a Bernie Bro, tena?
One should never underestimate the eternal compulsion that Dems and Dem supporters to backstab someone named “Clinton.”
Just like their snarling, viscious right-wing adversaries, these folks will never admit they were wrong. Never admit they were taken in. Never admit anything. But they’ll insist that’s purely a right-wing character trait.
The Family Circus “Not Me” ghost seems to be everywhere.
He has no moral code, no ethics, no brain, no heart. I am thrilled to see here people giving him a piece of their mind and making him uncomfortable.
Translation: the uppity bitch got what she deserved.
But thanks for helping to expose the thinking disorder that voters are smart and will ultimately vote for their best interest, and would want to spare the country from an obviously unqualified shmuck like her opponent to be in the Oval Office, despite their hurt feelings.
Hope upper midwest snowflakes didn’t forget to stamp their little feet.
Right!–we all remember Soros among other things is a currency trader, so what better source for Russian rubles for the crowd?
Right. Although to be fair, I - and more importantly, folks who study computer science for a living - am not sure she truly did lose those states.
Thank you for that.
That is still an open question as far as I’m concerned. Those several thousand votes per swing state were ever so convenient.
I don’t think one damn thing about this election was fair or honest.
No, it’s not apples and oranges. It’s oranges and oranges. They made the same decision for the same reason based on the data they each received. Obama didn’t just decide, “gee, I don’t need to go to WI because I’m a strong campaigner”. No, he and his campaign decided he didn’t need to go because that’s what all available polling told him.
Thanks, Tena - and I forgot to post a link:
And this doesn’t even touch Cross-check, as documented by Greg Palast.
In short, I agree completely with you.
Yeah I do think cross-check was used - I believe Palast. I’m on his mailing list.
