Discussion: USDA Research Scientists Ordered To Cease Public Communications

Sorry , I have to repeat it one more time . Shit getting real

In a free country, information about citizens is protected by law. Information about the government is open to the public.

In a police state, information about the government is secret and the citizen’s lives are open books.

Such total information inversion is necessary to facilitate the crimes of government and to prevent those crimes from becoming public knowledge

As summed up by Al Gore
"By closely guarding information about their own behavior, they are dismantling a fundamental element of our system of checks and balances. Because so long as the government’s actions are secret, they cannot be held accountable. A government for the people and by the people must be transparent to the people. "

Henceforth, all government communications will come from the POTUS Twitter account. Kellyanne Conway and Sean Spicer will then follow up with alternative facts.

See news media? There are your marching orders. Go forth and find sources among all these government employees.

Let the lawsuits begin. This administration is actively trying to hide information from the public.

It sounds like the beginning of a take over by the pod people…first the telephone lines go down and there is no communication. They look human, however…just don’t fall asleep. It would be appropriate since it is the Ag dept. Where is Kevin McCarthy when you need him?

I’ve said it before but TPM really needs a proofreader to check stuff before it goes live.

Of course they’ve been ordered to cease public communications. Can’t have scientists undermining Trump-Putin’s lies now, can we?

I’m surprised the Trump-Putin administration hasn’t announced the end of all investigations into Trump’s finances and Russian electoral interference yet.

I’ll have to get my Cow News® from some other source now.

So this is what a bloodless (so far) coup d’état looks like.

Help, Flying Spaghetti Monster!

@mattinpa I parked the Wrigley response in the S.C Wife-beating Rethug comments section. ;)

I’m glad you added the graphic 'cause I wasn’t sure what you meant by Cow News® here on this USDA thread.

Can we file FOIA requests? Can we keep filing for all internal communication, day after day? Could we write a program to generate the forms for every government office and file them automatically?

FOX: Most people only want alternate facts and Trump can do that effectively all by himself. This will lead to even smaller govt.

I voted for Clinton and marched on Saturday, but this is not unusual. All government agencies have press offices. Employees at NASA (or any other agency) are told that they may not communicate directly with the press. Instead, they may communicate through the agency press office. It was that way under Obama, Bush, (Bill) Clinton and to the beginning of time.

The weird thing is that the Trump team didn’t know it. Everyone in government knows it.
