Sooner or later black people will have to realize and accept their window of entrance to full rights of U.S. citizenship has closed on them. SCOTUS is on the precipice of being wholly remade into a facsimile of the Mississippi legislature of 1950. The House is gerrymandered into GOP majority in perpetuity. Black people will never have fair access to the ballot, they’ll forever be consigned to districting schemes that dilute their numbers. Their ship has sailed, and they’re left huddled on the dock, luggage at their feet, no where to go.
