Discussion: US: Israel Is Alienating 'Even Its Closest Allies' With New Settlements

Discussion for article #228349

Israelis need to change their leader: Netanyahu has become too toxic.

Iran insists its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only.

Yeah. Just like Israel’s.

“It also would call into question Israel’s ultimate commitment to a peaceful negotiated settlement with the Palestinians.”
That’s a question? I have literally been seeing this tedious kabuki dance for my entire life. Israel does not want “peace”.

I’d like to know why the Palestinians refusing to allow Jews to live in East Jerusalem and the West Bank isn’t called apartheid?

How about this? Instead of just talking, how about taking action and stop providing them the weapons to facilitate their indiscriminate carnage in Gaza? Netanyahu laughs at us as he takes us for granted.

Gee, Sharon; that’s novel. Steal someone’s land and then criticize them for not being hospitable. If only those nasty Palestinians who live in open-air prisons would be nicer, everyone could live in peace, eh?

(added meaningless content to meet comment filter requirements.)

And he can keep right on laughing as long as the only electable candidates in the US are ones who deny there is any difference between the words “Israelis” and “Israelites”. Wanna pick a fight in redneck land? Suggest that those words are in fact not synonymous! Then explain ‘synonymous’.

We are their last remaining ally and when Congress denounces some of Israel’s actions then I will believe it is even starting to alienate us.

Right now I trust Iran more than I do Israel which has never even admitted it has a nuclear program.

WTF? Is this a snark or are you truly clueless

Don’t despair, Israel, Lindsey Graham will always love you!

NetanYahoo : OldTestament TeaBagger.

They need Ziva David .

“More than 2,100 Palestinians — the vast majority of them civilians, according to the United Nations — and more than 70 Israelis were killed during the 50-day war in Gaza.”

And Israel, like any good COD player, will now go brag about its kill/death ratio on Playstation Network.

unfortunately he’s shown himself to be the only one with the political savvy to cobble together the coalition required to form a majority in Knesset. This is why he’s Prime Minister despite having won fewer seats than Kadima two elections ago, and having the same number of seats as Yesh Atid currently. Labor was destroyed when Kadima formed, and Kadima fell apart when it was in the minority. Israelis seems desperate for a new leader, which is why newly formed parties win large amounts of seats each election, but the leaders of these parties are all newcomers to governing and end up sidling up to Bibi once the campaign is over.

Synonymous? Whuyyyy, t’ain’t that whurr all them Jews pray?

Policy is what is toxic in Israel.

Why do we even play this game? It couldn’t be more obvious that Israel isn’t interested in peace, even if they changed their name, their flag, and their national anthem to “We are not interested in peace.”

Yahweh promised this land to the Jews. It says so in the Torah. The Jews are going to grab the land and keep it. Palestinians are stand-ins for the Canaanites and Philistines. Their claim to this land is bogus according to the Torah which reflects the words and wished of Yahweh. Netanyahu is merely fulfilling the wishes of his tribal god. And for this, the only ally he needs is Yahweh.
