I wonder what Obama did to cause this modest gain? I think we’ll get some Twitter info about it soon. And also, the real jobs gains have been covered up by the deep state!
Lowest job growth since 2010. Looks like the real jobs President left office in January. He was replaced with a fake jobs President.
Despite the low unemployment and the difficulty some employers face in finding enough qualified workers, pay gains remain sluggish.
So there isn’t a lack of qualified workers; there is a lack of qualified workers willing to work for the shitty wages offered by some employers. If there truly was a lack of qualified workers we would see wages exploding in the areas where there was truly a lack of qualified workers. How bad does the AP suck? Let me get out my Deep Thought supercomputer and count the ways. (Hint: It is a number greater than 42.)
Hey! That’s not fair! “President” Trump has created plenty of jobs! Mostly lawyers and comedians, but jobs nonetheless…
Pay raises have remained puzzlingly weak for many U.S. workers despite the robust job
Report from last year at this time:
US wages in December rose at the fastest pace since mid-2009, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ employment report released Friday.
Average hourly earnings increased by 2.9% year-on-year. The economy added 156,000 jobs in December, which is fewer than expected but extends the record streak of job creation in the US.
That job growth is slowing is to be expected after a long string of good months. We are also at very full employment. The 4.1% un-employment rate should be driving significant raises. How are wages doing?
Most economists expect the Trump administration’s tax cuts to help speed the economy’s already decent pace of growth.
The bigger question, however, is whether those cuts will stimulate long-term growth, she noted.
“We’re skeptical,” Meyer said. “Are you actually going to see a transformation in the economy that gets us out of a slow-growth environment? … I don’t think that we’re seeing legislation that gets us to that point.” CNBC
AP sucks. No other way to put it after reading this schizoid article.
