Allowing US based airlines to fly to Cuba will probably set back relations fifty years.

Here’s the thing: the island will (and should) welcome the opportunity for more revenue. My biggest concern (from here in the States, of course) is that the more pristine areas will become fouled. I have no doubt that American corporations are chomping at the bit to have a presence there. But I’ve also heard that there are parts of the island that are still somewhat untouched from lack of massive commercial development there. I hope it stays that way.

when do the trade agreements allowing cigars and rum start?

Hey raphael and marco, you can now go freely go back to your homeland!

crubio, I like that!

But, now they can go home…

[The United States and Cuba will sign an agreement next week to resume commercial air traffic for the first time in five decades, starting the clock on dozens of new flights operating daily by next fall, U.S. officials said Friday.]

Crubio!!

I like that! Captures the idea of crude rubes.

Like, instead of using two words to describe a rube who is crude, just say,

“Hey dude, you be a crubio.”

In about fifty years, when all the current furor dies down, President Obama is going to be looked at as an amazing president. The Democrats finally get health care after over sixty years of effort, and the idiotic, outdated Cuba policy finally changed. Absolutely amazing. Particularly for an “ineffective president”…

Use it often and liberally…
