As a member of the bar in CA, I can say that what Davidson is accused of doing in both this case and with Daniels is clearly highly unethical. Probably enough to get him disbarred. Selling out your client to those who you have conflicts with is a clear, no no.
But to answer your questions, (1) she was probably not the brightest bulb, and (2) probably had little interactions with lawyers. My guess is that she did not have many other meretricious relationships that ended with payments of $1.6M to keep a pregnancy and abortion with a top republican official secret.
