Discussion: Univision Prez Slams Donald Trump: Treatment Of Jorge Ramos 'Beneath Contempt'

Discussion for article #239833

First Fox News and now Univision. Any bets on who’ll be next?

So much for that out reach program eh ?

Let’s play Jeopardy. The answer is minus 51. The question is what is The Harumph’s standing among Latino voters.

Blue I wonder what will be the thing to pull the rug out.

Beneath contempt? Great, now Fox News is going to sue Univision for stealing their motto.

But seriously, Jorge Ramos is the very definition of an institution in the hispanic community. He’s been the anchor at Univision’s flagship news program since 1986. What Trump did wasn’t like dissing Lester Holt. It’s more like dissing Walter Cronkite.

Trump-- and most people in the upper stratum-- underestimate the number of Latinos in the US AND their connection though electronic media. NetFlix is getting wise to this too:

To me the big question is whether the Republican party will be able to recover from Trump. The longer this goes on the more he is going to be the face of Republicanism for Latinos. I have talked to several who are really, really worried about Trump. They will vote in the next election.

They probably think it’s ok, they’ll have the voter suppression laws in force before the election.

WAIT! didn’t the donald assure us that latinos love him? el amor! or not.

Can I go off topic for a sec because Netflix is premiering a 10-episode series tomorrow called Narcos about Pablo Escobar, which will mostly be in Spanish. As to underestimating the number of Latinos, those who denigrate and trash them of course don’t know how many there are. They just know there are too phucking many. Nor do they know Latinos represent the browning of this country and they are paying attention to this racism. It’s happening here in California and in Texas and all over the Southwest.
