Note that this came from @POTUS, not his personal twitter account, and it went out while he was at the National Cemetary so it was most likely Reince or another staffer. His rabid followers are well aware it was not him condemning this attack.

What have we done to deserve this monster as our President? Just a stark contrast between the heros in Portland to the craven bully sitting in the White House.
I don’t think that any population could earn enough demerits to “deserve” this monster. He’s the kind of monster who just gets imposed on people and he’s been imposed on us.

Didn’t come from him. Came from one of the staffers who monitors Twitter regularly and realized something needed to be said on his behalf.
Also, the idea of calling these hate crimes “unacceptable” is cowardly and reprehensible. If a company’s yearly profit margins fall by over 4%, that is unacceptable. Citizens fighting back against the White supremacist hate that is flourishing because of Rump goes way, WAY beyond that word. it really shows just how trifling this WH considers these hate crimes.
